Research & Development Division MOAF

The Research and Development Division participated in the Eat Jamaican Day festivities on the lawns of Devon House on November 22 ,2024. The team showcased a wide range of fresh colorful crops and livestock byproducts from milk , pork and cheese with free goat and cows milk sample tasting.

One major highlight was the soft/mozzarella cheese live demonstration done with fresh milk produced from the Jamaica Hope Cows at the divisions dairy unit. Samples for tasting were also distributed to the patrons .

The Livestock Research and Improvement Unit participated in the 2024 Minard Livestock Show and Beef Festival at Minard Estate,Browns Town ,St.Ann. The day was filled with interactive activities and schools from all over the North Coast.

The team displayed Forage Conservation Methods, The Climate Smart Cattle Barn display and Artificial Insemination Techniques.
