A very cordial and fruitful meeting between Ambassador Zamporlini and His Royal Highness Prince Mired bin Ra’ad.
A strong shared commitment to protecting and promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, which represent a cross-cutting priority across all areas of cooperation between Italy and Jordan.
Particular emphasis was placed on Italian support for the development of inclusive and accessible tourism, an important driver of economic growth.

L’Ambasciatore Zamporlini, assieme al Presidente della Jordanian Academy for Government Administration Mustafa Hamarneh, ha consegnato oggi i diplomi dei corsi “Advanced Government Leadership Program”, “Women Leaders Qualification Program” e “Professional Diploma in Public Administration and Policy” a favore di oltre 100 funzionari pubblici giordani, incluse 50 donne.
La cerimonia si è svolta nel quadro di un progetto di cooperazione finanziato dall’Italia con un dono di 1,2 milioni di euro e realizzato dalla European Public Law Organization in collaborazione con la SNA.
I partenariati tra le rispettive pubbliche amministrazioni sono un pilastro fondamentale delle relazioni tra Italia e Giordania, mettendo sempre le persone al centro.

Ambassador Zamporlini, together with the President of the Jordanian Academy for Government Administration, Mustafa Hamarneh, today presented certificates to more than 100 Jordanian public officials who completed the “Advanced Government Leadership Program,” “Women Leaders Qualification Program,” and “Professional Diploma in Public Administration and Policy,” including 50 women.

The ceremony was held as part of a cooperation project funded by Italy through a €1.2 million grant and implemented by the European Public Law Organization in collaboration with the National School of Administration (SNA).

Partnerships between the respective public administrations are a fundamental pillar of relations between Italy and Jordan, always placing people at the heart of their cooperation.

L’Ambasciatore Zamporlini ha assistito ieri al concerto del “Messiah” di Händel organizzato da European Union in Jordan nel sito storico di Macheronte, luogo della prigionia e del martirio di San Giovanni Battista.
Un evento magico ed emozionante, tenutosi sotto il patrocinio di Sua Altezza Reale Principe Hassan bin Talal e alla presenza di Sua Altezza Reale Principessa Rajwa bint Ali bin Nayef e del Ministro del Turismo e delle Antichità Emad Hijazeen.
In vista delle celebrazioni del 2030, anno di San Giovanni Battista e bimillenario del battesimo di Gesù Cristo nelle acque del Giordano, l’Italia giocherà un ruolo da protagonista nella riabilitazione del sito di Macheronte, grazie all’importante progetto realizzato da AICS Amman in partenariato con l’Università di Perugia e co-finanziato dalla UE e dalla Cooperazione Italiana.

Ambassador Zamporlini attended yesterday the concert of Handel’s Messiah, organized by European Union in Amman at the historic site of Macheronte, the place of the imprisonment and martyrdom of Saint John the Baptist.

A magical and moving event, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Hassan bin Talal and attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa bint Ali bin Nayef and the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Emad Hijazeen.

In view of the 2030 celebrations, marking the Year of Saint John the Baptist and the 2,000th anniversary of the Baptism of Jesus Christ in the waters of the Jordan River, Italy will play a leading role in the rehabilitation of the Macheronte site, thanks to the important project implemented by AICS Amman in partnership with the University of Perugia and co-financed by the EU and Italian Cooperation.

L’Ambasciatore Zamporlini ha incontrato ieri Sua Altezza Reale Principessa Dana Firas e i pellegrini dell’Arcidiocesi di Lucca venuti in visita in Giordania sotto la guida dell’Arcivescovo, S.E.R Mons. Paolo Giulietti, in un evento a cui hanno preso parte anche il Nunzio Apostolico per la Giordania, S.E.R. Mons. Giovanni Pietro Dal Toso, e il Vescovo Ausiliare della Diocesi Patriarcale di Gerusalemme dei Latini per la Giordania, S.E.R. Mons. Iyad Twal.
Una splendida serata, nella suggestiva cornice del Cultural Hub Bayt Yaish, dedicata al significativo contributo italiano alla tutela del ricco patrimonio culturale giordano e all’importanza del dialogo e della convivenza interreligiosi, che la Giordania promuove con forza con il suo esempio quotidiano 🇮🇹 🇯🇴

Ambassador Zamporlini met yesterday with Her Royal Highness Princess Dana Firas and pilgrims from the Archdiocese of Lucca who are visiting Jordan under the guidance of the Archbishop, His Excellency the Most Reverend Monsignor Paolo Giulietti. The event was also attended by the Apostolic Nuncio to Jordan, His Excellency the Most Reverend Monsignor Giovanni Pietro Dal Toso, and the Auxiliary Bishop of the Latin Patriarchal Diocese of Jerusalem for Jordan, His Excellency the Most Reverend Monsignor Iyad Twal.
It was a wonderful evening, held in the inspiring setting of the Cultural Hub Bayt Yaish, dedicated to Italy’s significant contribution to the preservation of Jordan’s rich cultural heritage, as well as to the importance of interfaith dialogue and coexistence—values that Jordan strongly promotes through its daily example. 🇮🇹 🇯🇴

Il nuovo Ambasciatore d’Italia presso il Regno Hashemita di Giordania, Pier Luigi Zamporlini, è stato ricevuto oggi al Basman Palace da Sua Maestà, Re Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, a cui ha presentato le Lettere Credenziali.

“La splendida accoglienza che mi ha riservato Sua Maestà Re Abdullah II e la rapidità con cui mi ha consentito di presentare le Lettere Credenziali, a soli pochi giorni dal mio arrivo ad Amman, costituiscono una testimonianza esemplare della straordinaria forza dell’amicizia e delle relazioni bilaterali tra Italia e Giordania, che spero di contribuire ad arricchire sempre di più”, ha commentato l’Ambasciatore Zamporlini. 🇮🇹🇯🇴

السفير الجديد لجمهورية إيطاليا لدى المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية, بيير لويجي زامبورليني، استُقبل اليوم في قصر بسمان من قبل جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني ابن الحسين، حيث قدّم لجلالته أوراق اعتماده.

وقال السفير زامبورليني:
«إن الاستقبال الحافل الذي حظيت به من قبل جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني، والسرعة التي أتاح لي بها تقديم أوراق اعتمادي، بعد أيام قليلة فقط من وصولي إلى عمّان، يشكلان شهادة نموذجية على القوة الاستثنائية للصداقة والعلاقات الثنائية بين إيطاليا والأردن، والتي آمل أن أساهم في تعزيزها وإثرائها بصورة متزايدة».
