성윤수 코디네이터님은 사무소 내에서 회계 및 WFK 봉사단 팀 업무를 빈틈없이 총괄하셨을 뿐만 아니라, ICRC, IFRC 등 다양한 국제기구와의 긴밀한 파트너십을 통해 분쟁 및 취약국 지원 사업을 성공적으로 이끄셨습니다.
특히 항상 밝은 태도와 특유의 친절함으로 사무소를 따뜻하게 채워주셨으며, 언제나 환한 미소로 현지 직원들과도 친밀한 관계를 유지하여 소통을 위한 다리 역할을 해 주셨습니다.

[Farewell and Congratulations to Coordinator, Ms. Sung on the Completion of Her Term]
Yoonsu Sung, Coordinator of the KOICA Jordan Office, has successfully completed her two-year journey—including a one-year term extension—and returned to Korea.
During her time with us, Ms. Sung impeccably managed accounting and World Friends Korea (WFK) volunteer operations. Furthermore, she played a pivotal role in leading humanitarian assistance projects for fragile and conflict-affected states, successfully collaborating with various international organizations such as the ICRC and IFRC.
Above all, she was known for her bright attitude and exceptional kindness, always warming the office with her cheerful presence. With her signature welcoming smile, she built deep bonds of friendship and maintained close, meaningful connections with all of our local staff members.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Sung for being a reliable colleague and a source of joy in our office. We sincerely hope that her valuable experiences in Jordan will serve as a strong foundation for her brilliant future ahead.

[Farewell and Congratulations to 30th YP, Ms. Moon on the Completion of Her Term]
Sunyu Moon, the 30th Young Professional (YP) of the KOICA Jordan Office, has successfully completed her one-year term and returned to Korea.
During her first six months, Ms. Moon diligently supported the World Friends Korea (WFK) team's volunteer programs. In the following quarter, she transitioned to the Project Team, where she actively contributed to various country partnership programs, including tourism training and development projects. Furthermore, by successfully handling the drafting of numerous official reports, she demonstrated outstanding professional growth and learned immensely from her multi-faceted experiences.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Moon for always dedication and passionate energy, which greatly strengthened our office operations. We sincerely hope that her valuable experiences at the Jordan office will serve as a strong stepping stone for her future endeavors.

KOICA 요르단 사무소의 김예진 코디네이터님이 1년 간의 뜻깊은 임기를 성공적으로 마치고 한국으로 귀국하셨습니다.

김예진 코디네이터님은 지난 1년 동안 프로젝트 담당자로서 다양한 수원 기관 및 요르단 정부 부처와의 긴밀한 소통을 통해 프로젝트 사업, 직업 훈련, 그리고 연수 사업을 탁월하게 이끌어 오셨습니다. 언제나 완벽하고 프로페셔널한 업무 처리로 현지 직원들 사이에서 "최고의 코디네이터"라는 아낌없는 극찬을 받기도 하셨습니다.

또한, 사무소 내 YP들의 복무 관리를 세심하게 챙겨주시는 것은 물론, YP들이 요르단 생활과 업무에 어려움 없이 적응할 수 있도록 언제나 든든한 지원군이 되어주셨습니다.

[Farewell and Congratulations to Coordinator, Yejin Kim on the Completion of Her Term]

Yejin Kim, Coordinator of the KOICA Jordan Office, has successfully completed her one-year term and returned to Korea.
Over the past year, Ms. Kim has impeccably led our project portfolio, including country partnership projects, vocational training programs, and trainee fellowships, while serving as a key liaison with various Jordanian ministries and partner institutions. Thanks to her outstanding professionalism and work ethic, she earned the highest praise from our local staff, who truly regarded her as "the best coordinator."

Beyond her official project duties, she also dedicated herself to supervising and supporting our Young Professionals. She was a reliable mentor who ensured that the YPs could navigate both their professional responsibilities and daily life in Jordan without any difficulties.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Kim for being an exemplary leader and a deeply supportive colleague. We sincerely hope that her remarkable achievements and memories in Jordan will serve as a powerful stepping stone for her bright future.

[𝗞𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗔 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻 (𝗞𝗔𝗔𝗝) 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲-𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿]

The KOICA Jordan Office, in collaboration with the KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ), successfully conducted a knowledge-sharing seminar on June 10, 2026, at the Rotana Hotel.

Under the theme "𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻," the seminar aimed to disseminate the valuable knowledge and lessons learned from the 2025 KOICA training program, which was previously attended by fifteen dedicated officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MOTA).

During the event, 40 participants from various government institutions—including the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Agriculture, and the Vocational Training Corporation—gathered to discuss sustainable tourism management and address key challenges facing the tourism sector. The seminar also served as a wonderful platform to introduce Korean culture and explore new opportunities for cultural exchange and tourism cooperation between Jordan and Korea.

Since 1991, KOICA has been providing training programs to Jordan through its CIAT (Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow) program, aimed at enhancing human resource capacity for the country's socio-economic development. To date, more than 1,233 Jordanian government officials have participated in these programs in Korea.

Together, KOICA and KAAJ remain firmly committed to building lasting bridges of cooperation and fostering continuous knowledge exchange between our two nations.

[2026 World Friends Korea Volunteer Program Partners Workshop]

On May 12, the KOICA Jordan Office held the “2026 World Friends Korea Volunteer Program Partners Workshop.” The purpose of this workshop was to improve the efficiency of program implementation by enhancing partner organizations’ understanding of the volunteer program, the volunteer demand survey process, and service regulations.

In addition, the workshop provided a communication platform through the KOICA Public Customer Satisfaction Index (PCSI) survey, allowing participants to share their opinions, suggestions, and challenges related to the WFK volunteer program.

The workshop served as a meaningful opportunity to further strengthen partnership and communication between KOICA and its partner organizations in Jordan through active discussions and exchanges of views. KOICA will continue to make efforts to develop the volunteer program and enhance cooperation with relevant institutions. Thank you.

[2026 WFK 봉사단 프로그램 협력기관 협의회 개최]

5월 12일, KOICA 요르단 사무소는 “2026 WFK 봉사단 프로그램 협력기관 협의회”를 개최했습니다. 본 협의회는 협력기관들이 봉사단 프로그램, 봉사단 수요조사 과정 및 복무 규정에 대한 이해를 높여 프로그램 운영의 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 진행되었습니다.

또한 KOICA 고객만족도 조사(PCSI)를 통해 소통을 위한 창구를 제공하여, 참가자들이 WFK 봉사단 프로그램과 관련된 의견, 제안 및 운영상의 어려움을 공유할 수 있도록 했습니다.

이번 협의회의 활발한 논의와 의견 교환을 통해 KOICA와 요르단 내 협력기관 간의 파트너십과 소통을 더욱 강화하는 뜻깊은 계기가 되었습니다. KOICA는 앞으로도 봉사단 프로그램의 발전과 유관 기관과의 협력을 위해 지속적으로 노력할 것입니다. 감사합니다.

[KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ) Holds a Knowledge-Sharing Seminar]

On April 29, 2026, KOICA Jordan Office, in collaboration with the KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ), hosted a knowledge-sharing seminar at the Rotana Hotel under the theme “Capacity Building on Strengthening Statistical Ability of SDG Indicators.”

The seminar brought together 40 participants from key government institutions, including the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. It served as a platform to exchange insights and explore how technology can enhance digital learning systems to support innovation and sustainable development.

The event also highlighted key lessons learned from the KOICA training program conducted in 2025, which was attended by three officials from MOPIC. Discussions emphasized the growing importance of technological advancements in improving education quality, increasing accessibility, and contributing to long-term development outcomes.
