Tokyo Metropolitan Tonerikouen Park is in the Adachi ward and will hold “The celebration of a thousand cherry blossoms” on March 28th (Sat) and 29th (Sun). It’s a vast site covering 65 hectares, located on the third-largest site in the Tokyo 23rd district. As of the famous site for the Cherry Blossoms, Someiyoshino, Kanhizakura, Gyoi-kou of 24 species, and approximately 1000 trees have been planted.

The festival introduces, and you can enjoy gourmet food or buy it at product fairs and stalls, provided by the Local businesses and restaurants,Adachi Ward's friends municipalities (Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture; Yamanouchi Town, Nagano Prefecture; Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture)
Moreover, you could buy fresh veggies and fruit, the Guinea pig interaction experience, and so on, many fun events!

＼ A new exchange meeting circle place, Trailer house "Takenotsu Car & the Park", is having an Initial show on March 22nd! ／

Prior to the grand opening of "Takenotsu Car & Park," a community hub that supports people who want to "try something new" in the area, we will be holding an unveiling event on Sunday, March 22nd.

“Takenotsu Car & Park” uses a trailer house at unique places for activities, such as Marshe or Trial store will openings, and fun planning will be in the future.

March 22nd is the date when people assemble for "wants to try it" who are make it happen person in reality and set up a variety booth! Onigiri (rice balls), ham burgers, or baked cookies; the catering car will also be there. Also, handmade small knits, sales of children's outlet shoes, workshops for DIY original items with decorative parts.

Adachi Fisheries Market is held "Fisheries Market Day" twice a month for the general public.

Usually reserved for fisheries traders, the market also welcomes everyone to purchase fresh seafood. The restaurant beside the entrance offers sushi, seafood bowls, and other fun, tasty options from the Sea menu.

Enjoy shopping and lunch in the vibrant atmosphere of Fishers Market Place!

＼　Suitable for Walking and Cycling! Present, the Arakawa riverbank　／

Adachi-District is the city surrounded by the Arakawa, Sumidagawa, and other rivers, with abundant water and Greenery. Among these, the Arakawa riverbed is the best spot for nature.

It’s about 15 minutes from the Kitasenju west side exit station to the Arakawa riverbank.
At the riverbank, you can enjoy a square field for playing Baseball, soccer, or a large flower bed planted with seasonal flowers. In spring, you’ll see Pansies and Tulips.

Also, since it leads to the seaside, it's suitable for cycling. Additionally, Adachi Ward Urban Agricultural Park by the riverbank, where you can check out seasonal species like Tulips, Sunflowers, Cosmos, while cycling. It's a spot where you'll be able to brake and have a bite to eat.

＼　7 Hina tiered stage is now on display at Urban Agricultural Park, Adachi-ward.　／

March third (Tue) is the “Hina festival”!
It’s Japan’s traditional event, celebrating the healthy growth and happiness of adolescent girls by having a chirashi sushi and decorating the Hina dolls.

Adachi-Ward of Urban Agricultural Park will present the old folk House, located in the park, with a 7-tiered stage. It’s a limited-time offer, until March 3rd. (Tue)!
Please take this opportunity to see the gorgeous stage. 　

Additionally, starting from Thursday, March 5th, we will be exhibiting armor and helmets for Children's Day. Please look forward to this as well.

You could reach surraunding of Kitasenju station as a single train from the city of Asakusa, and Tsukiji, there are treasure trove of gourmet food to enjoy that goes along, starting with Japanese to international feasts, such as Curry, and so on, and the shops are lined up. There are a lot of people visited every day.
Nowadays, more people are into the Japanese Old folk house as re-renovated to Cafe e.t.c. of new shops are opening up.

Surrounding Kitasenju Station was prosperous as the “Senju-Juku,” a lodging in the Edo period.
Even now, it keeps remnants of the time, the city of good old townscapes everywhere.
where we just celebrated the 400th anniversary in 2025 of the establishment of the post town for lodging. We welcome and would you to the vibrant city of Senju!

＼　It's February 15th., Let's go to the "Ume Festival" ／

In Adachi-ward's Ohyata Park, there is a Plum Garden with 17 different plum variety and approximately 100 trees in its current state.

We're going to have the "Ume Festiva, " or Plum Festival, on February 15th!
You can enjoy not only Ume florals but also an instant sales shop for seasonal flowers, Food and drink sales by local shopping associations, and many more fun programs. Also, there is an opportunity to meet the guinea pig, provided by the mobile living thing park.

Additionally, on February 14th and 15th at night, the lighting will be partially displayed in Ume Park, and you can enjoy the illusional space, unlike during the daytime.

Just some information: It's not usually open to the public; however, it's open as a limited time offer until March 8th, during Ume's blooming season.

＼Let’s do it the “Throwing Beans” for Call-in the Good fortune for a year／

In Japan, we have a tradition called the "Setsubun"(Throwing Beans event), held before the calculation of Solar Longitude and the start of spring.
It's with the best wishes, “May the best health throughout the year " that drives out the bad influence, then welcome in the good influence, that shouts out "daemons out, welcome the Good fortune!" together with throwing beans at the "Oni", the bad influence of Daemons, which scares it away.

This year’s “Setsubun” event is on February 3rd!
Tokyo's Senju, which can be reached by a single line from Asakusa and Tsukiji, will hold a “ Setsubun” event at various temples and shrines. Usually, they throw beans and visitors catch them from the Kagura Hall; occasionally, some temples and shrines would throw sweets.

Go ahead and check the temples and shrines of Senju city and have fun on the day of “Setsubun”!

＼　Traditional event with express gratitude throughout the year “Daruma Memorial Service”　／　

“Daruma,” the lucky charms, are said to bring various benefits, such as safety for the home, prosperity in business, and success in exams.

At Nishiarai Daishi Temple in Adachi Ward, there is a tradition of burning “Daruma” the lucky charms once a year as a token of gratitude after they have served their purpose after being displayed for a year.

The Daruma Memorial Service is held every year on Setsubun (February 3rd), the day when people throw beans in prayer for good health.
Tens of thousands of “Daruma,” the lucky charms, are placed into the flame as monks chant sutras, creating a solemn scene.

You could buy a new "Daruma," as well, on the approach to the temple! After the memorial service, it would be awesome to welcome a new "Daruma" to make a new wish.
