We're kicking off Red Ribbon Week with a proclamation signing on October 23 from 1:30-2 PM at the Iwakuni Middle High School. 🦸🏻‍♂️ This year’s theme is “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.™,” which invites us to think about what being a hero really means.

Heroes aren’t only people who do extraordinary things. They’re the people making positive choices in everyday moments, whether at home, at school, or in their communities.

Looking for a fun, active way to spend time with family, friends, or coworkers? The Iwakuni Friendship Relay Marathon on December 6 is the perfect opportunity to get moving, cheer each other on, and enjoy a day full of community, teamwork, and connection. Join us for a memorable event that brings everyone together!

This year, we are looking for runners to join local Japanese teams. You can participate with your friends or on your own, and we will match you or your group with a Japanese team to run together.
Come run with our community; it’s a great opportunity to make new friends.

Ready for a Halloween night packed with fun? 🎃 The Youth and Teen Center is hosting a Halloween Lock-In on October 30, with a full lineup of spooky-season activities, games, and plenty of treats!

From the MCCS Haunted House and Trunk-or-Treat to Halloween movies, gaming tournaments, karaoke, a costume contest, and a pizza party, there's plenty to keep everyone entertained. 👻

The event is FREE for active, registered Youth and Teen Program members. Stop by the center to pick up a permission slip and sign up by close of business on Wednesday, October 28. Don't miss out on the Halloween fun!

Due to the gym closure, a variety of classes will be canceled and rescheduled. See below (and graphics) for more information.

- All group fitness classes at IronWorks North are canceled during this period.
- Judo and Children's Dance will have rescheduled dates.
- Postpartum Yoga is canceled on October 21 and 28.

No Tricks, All Treats! 🍬 It’s spooky season at the MCX, and you’re invited for some free Halloween fun on October 30 and 31 from 11 AM to 3 PM!

Dress up in your costume and stop by the Halloween Candy Pad for free popcorn, snow cones, and a photo on our Halloween backdrop. 🎃

And because costumes deserve a little extra reward… we’re giving away a Bella 4-Qt Slim Air Fryer each day! If you’re dressed up, grab a raffle ticket while you’re here and stick around for the 5 PM drawing. You’ve gotta be there to take home the prize!

Giveaway is open to customers 18 and older.
