On Foreign Service of Pakistan🇵🇰 Day, we honour all our Foreign Service Officers for their commitment to public service, advancing Pakistan’s interests and safeguarding the welfare of Pakistan’s citizens abroad. Often serving far from home and loved ones, they strengthen international relations with countries around the world. We also acknowledge their families, whose invaluable support and adaptability are an essential part of this journey.

As part of the Embassy’s outreach to Japan’s regions, Ambassador Abdul Hameed visited Hokkaido’s Hidaka region on 8 October 2026 to strengthen local ties and explore opportunities for cooperation.

During his visit, he met Mr. Yuji Kobayashi, member of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly and engaged with Mayor of Biratori Town.

The Ambassador also visited Niikappu, where he met Mayor Yamamoto, mayors of neighbouring municipalities, community leaders and business executives. The visit provided an opportunity to deepen connections between Pakistan and Hokkaido’s local communities.

アブドゥル・ハミード駐日パキスタン大使、北海道・日高地域を訪問

日本各地との交流促進の一環として、アブドゥル・ハミード駐日パキスタン大使は、地域との関係強化および協力の可能性を探るため、2026年10月8日に北海道の日高地域を訪問しました。

訪問中、大使は北海道議会議員の小林雄二氏と会談するとともに、平取町長とも懇談しました。

また、新冠町を訪問し、山本町長をはじめ、近隣自治体の町長、地域の代表者、企業関係者らと意見交換を行いました。

今回の訪問は、パキスタンと北海道の地域社会とのつながりを一層深め、今後の交流と協力を促進する貴重な機会となりました。

As part of the Embassy’s outreach across Japan, Ambassador Abdul Hameed met Mr. Naomichi Suzuki, Governor of Hokkaido, in Sapporo on 9 October 2026.

Their discussion focused on opportunities for cooperation in agricultural technology, renewable energy, fisheries, food processing and human resource development. Both sides recognised complementarities between Pakistan and Hokkaido that offer a practical basis for closer economic ties.

日本各地における大使館の地域交流活動の一環として、アブドゥル・ハミード駐日パキスタン大使は、2026年10月9日、札幌市において鈴木直道北海道知事と会談しました。

会談では、農業技術、再生可能エネルギー、水産業、食品加工および人材育成の分野における協力の可能性について意見交換が行われました。双方は、パキスタンと北海道の相互補完性が、両者の経済関係を一層緊密化するための具体的かつ実践的な基盤となることを確認しました。
