JS conducted a goodwill exercise with the Royal Navy HMS_Ranger from the mouth of the Thames River to London.

The name “ ” symbolizes the deepening of Japan-Canada friendship and goodwill by combining the symbolic “Suger Maple” of Canada with the Japanese word “Kaede” (maple) and the abbreviation “EX” for exercise or training.

Au cours de l’exercice, nous avons senti que la compréhension mutuelle et la coopération s’approfondissaient de jour en jour et sommes ravis d’avoir pu partager ce moment ensemble.
La Force maritime d'autodéfense et les marines européennes travaillent ensemble en tant que partenaires fiables pour renforcer la coopération et la collaboration en faveur de la paix et d’une mer stable.

During the joint exercise, we experienced firsthand how our mutual understanding and cooperation was deepening day by day, and we are immensely proud to have spent this time together.
The JMSDF and the European navies will further strengthen our cooperation and coordination, as reliable partners, to ensure peace and stable seas.
