Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka celebrated the grand opening of the new Toys R Us shop-in-shop inside the Navy Exchange (NEX) Yokosuka Oct. 17, 2026.

This opening is part of a Navy Exchange Service Command licensing agreement with the brand's parent company to bring Toys R Us shops to NEX stores serving Navy families worldwide.

It's another way we're investing in our community and making life a little brighter for our military-connected youth.

🏆 Congratulations to our CFAY family!

51 Master Labor Agreement (MLA) and Indirect Hire Agreement (IHA) employees assigned to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka were recognized alongside another 543 fellow U.S. Forces Japan (USFJ) employees at the 2026 Length-of-Service Award Ceremony held at Yokosuka Bunka Kaikan Oct. 16, 2026, . These dedicated professionals were honored for their 10, 20, 30, and 40 years of service to our installation and the mission.

From supply technicians to facility operators, our MLA and IHA workforce is the backbone of everything CFAY, Yokosuka's tenant commands, and our partners do everyday to support our Sailors.

To every honoree—thank you for your years of sacrifice, expertise, and unwavering dedication. You make Yokosuka a better place to live, work, and serve. Bravo Zulu on a job well done!

🎃 Trick-or-treaters turned out in full force for the Ikego Spooktacular at West Valley Campground in Zushi, Japan Oct. 17. From jack-o'-lantern costumes to face painting, CFAY Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWR delivered a day of outdoor seasonal fun for our forward-deployed service members and their families.

Events like these are what build community across the installation. A huge thank you to MWR for organizing this memorable gathering and keeping our families connected and engaged. Check out the full photo album to see the costumes, creativity, and seasonal spirit on display! 🕸️

🚒 Fire safety is a team effort! Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Fire and Emergency Services hosted the annual Ikego Fire Parade and Open House at the Ikego Hills Family Housing Area in Zushi, Japan, Oct. 17, 2026, in observance of Fire Prevention Month.

From a joint rescue demonstration with the Zushi City Fire Department to live fire demonstrations, fire truck displays, and junior firefighter gear for the kids — there was something for everyone. Cmdr. Thomas Falconer, chief staff officer of Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, joined Sparky the Fire Dog to help spread the message that fire prevention starts with each of us. 🐾

Events like these strengthen the partnership between our installation and the local Zushi community while ensuring our families are prepared and informed. Thank you to everyone who participated in making Fire Prevention Month a success! 👏

Installation Access Request flowcharts are available on the official CFAY Visitor Control Center webpage. These charts address most access questions and situations. Community members are welcome to download these forms for offline reference.

An Installation Access Request wizard is also available on the VCC page to help minimize delays. This provides community members quick reference on which forms to submit, expected processing timelines, and supporting documentation.

Questions regarding situations not covered by either the flowcharts or the wizard or for clarification on any of the published information should be directed to CFAY Security Visitor Control Center at DSN 243-5330 or 046-816-5330.
