Lelaitich Sweet Potato Processing plant is one of the flagship value addition projects undertaken by the County Government of Bomet in partnership with the through the Department of Cooperatives and Enterprise Development.

On maximum capacity, the plant processes 4 metric tonnes of sweet potatoes daily, equivalent to 4,000 pieces of assorted bread.

The new CECMs in charge of Roads, Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport Dr. Kipchumba Toweett and Eng. Joseph Terer of Agriculture,Livestock and Fisheries today officially handed over in a ceremony witnessed by the Chair Agriculture Committee Hon. Ambrose Koech who is also the MCA Mogogosiek Ward.

Taking over the new roles and assignments, both County Executives stated that they were committed to executing their new roles as per their mandates and in adherence to the call to public service.
They thanked Governor Dr Hillary Barchok for the opportunity to serve in in their new assignments and made an assurance that they will deliver.

Hon. Ambrose Koech thanked the both CECMs on their continued commitment and hardwork on their previous dockets.

Mama Mbogas operate small food stands in our county and rural communities and play a vital role in distributing produce from farmers to consumers.
Governor Dr Hillary Barchok Administration will provide business environment and policies to improve the small scale business as a way of implementing the Bottom Up Model driven by the Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto
