This week, the Kenya Meteorological Service Authority (KMSA) with support from UNDP with other National Technical Working Group-TWG-AA (NDOC, KRCS, WFP, and other national partners), is supporting the co-development of the Kenya National Anticipatory Action Framework.
The framework aims to strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning within Kenya’s Anticipatory Action Roadmap, helping shift from reactive disaster response to proactive, forecast-based action.
By establishing clear indicators, evidence generation, and learning processes, the framework will help measure the effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and impact of AA interventions — ultimately enhancing resilience, protecting livelihoods, and reducing disaster risks for vulnerable communities across Kenya.
