SOY CONSTITUENCY NGCDF BURSARIES POLICY CHANGE
Soyans Education is the Key to success. The objective of Bursaries is to assist the less fortunate in the society complete their studies. Over the years bursaries have been used to make as many as possible of our population be happy with tokens of between 2K and 5k without having any impact on the education of our most vulnerable students in our society. Having participated in the education of our less fortunate in our society through DK foundation for the last 10 years I know the pain parents undergo to ensure their kids go to school. Taking corrective measures to achieve the main objective of Bursaries, we shall set aside KES 50M towards this end and the following guidelines will be used
1. 1500 Needy students in day schools will be given full bursary
2. 100 Needy students in national schools will be given full bursary
3. 210 Needy students in boarding schools will be given full bursary
4. 1000 students in secondary schools will be given partial bursary on requirement assessment
5. 350 students will be sponsored to join TTI one year course in Ziwa TTI to pursue practical self employment courses.
6. 210 partial scholarships to Tertiary and Universities
Our CDF team and constituency cordinators will oversee the process to ensure its free, fair and transparent and only deserving cases qualify from each category.
I take this opportunity to also congratulate our KCPE candidates and wish them well.
