The foolish one was so impressed that he asked how much is this monkey worth, elections are a market place, be entertained by the monkey, but let it entertain, but the goat. Be entertained by the monkey and clap for it. But ask yourself who has the agenda? Who can best fix roads? Who can fix education, who is entertaining and who is working?

History has never been kind to men who speak before they think.

Just a few days before Raila Odinga’s passing, former DP made reckless comments about his health remarks that now hang over him like a dark cloud.... he stands as a reminder that words, once spoken, cannot be recalled.

Today, Nyeri Governor Mwalimu Kahiga walked the same treacherous path, claiming that President Ruto had taken development to Nyanza and that “God did a good thing” by taking Raila. Such utterances may win cheap applause in the moment but often leave lifelong stains on reputations.

Kenya has witnessed this before. Over three decades ago, Peter Habenga Okondo, then a powerful Cabinet Minister lost everything because of his tongue. When Anglican Bishop Alexander Muge planned a visit to Busia in 1990, Okondo thundered: “He will not leave Busia alive if he dares set foot there.”

Bishop Muge went and indeed, left in a casket.
The backlash was immediate. Okondo was dismissed from Cabinet, and his once-rising political career crumbled.

The lesson is timeless: WORDS CARRY WEIGHT

Power often tempts men to speak carelessly, but history never forgets those whose tongues brought them down.
