The GLOBAL Stage for the inaugural Spicy Awards is now set and nominations are ongoing.

QUESTION

What are the requirements for one to get nominated and, does someone need to pay and how are the awards going to be. Is it for everyone or just Kenyan citizens?

It's global and submitting nominations is completely free. After submission, the Jury undertakes a due diligence process and selects three nominees per category. These shortlisted nominees are then subjected to a public vote.

Kindly note that the Jury’s decision remains final and is not determined by the public vote. However, the nominee who garners the highest public votes is recognized with the People’s Choice Award.

Shortlisted nominees (or their representatives) are invited to attend the gala dinner where the winners are officially unveiled. Attendance at the gala requires the purchase of a gala dinner ticket.

In the event that a winner is unable to attend in person or be represented, they will be required to purchase a VIP ticket and cater for courier charges for the delivery of their trophy, certificate, and any additional award items.
