Venue: LVNWWDA Headquarters

The Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency (LVNWWDA) has received four additional Water Police Unit officers in a move aimed at strengthening security around critical water infrastructure and supporting efficient water service delivery across its area of jurisdiction.

The additional deployment is expected to enhance the Agency’s capacity to safeguard water infrastructure, deter vandalism, curb illegal water connections and address other unauthorised activities that contribute to Non-Revenue Water (NRW).

The officers will work in collaboration with the Agency’s technical and operational teams to strengthen surveillance, improve response to security incidents and protect vital water facilities against activities that compromise the reliability and sustainability of water supply systems.

He further underscored the need for close collaboration between the Water Police Unit and the Agency’s technical and operational teams to ensure effective protection of water infrastructure, improved operational efficiency and reliable water service delivery to communities across the Agency’s six-county jurisdiction.
