We made a commitment to Kenyans, and we are delivering. The journey continues, and we shall keep working to ensure every community feels the impact of development.

Today, President William Samoei Ruto has commissioned the Watamu Modern Market, one of 12 modern markets being built across Kilifi County under the Affordable Housing Programme.

These markets are creating dignified spaces for traders, expanding opportunities and driving local economic growth.

The Coast Region is increasingly enjoying the fruits of the Government’s development agenda, with land ownership and secure tenure among the key gains.

Today, President William Ruto issued title deeds to residents of Mombasa, with beneficiaries from Jomvu, Kisauni and Likoni receiving ownership documents.

For families who have waited for years, these title deeds provide security of tenure, unlock the value of their land and create a stronger foundation for investment and development.

02/10/2026

Since 2022, the current Government has issued over 380,000 title deeds across the Coast, with a further 189,449 being issued under the ongoing Coast titling programme.

The foundation stone has been laid for the Shanzu Technical and Teachers’ Training College Students’ Hostel in Kisauni.

The facility will accommodate 600 students, with study rooms and essential services including shops, a mini-mart, food stalls and a laundromat.

This is more than accommodation, it is an investment in better learning conditions, student welfare and the future of our young people.

Asante Rais.

President William Samoei Ruto has issued 31,318 title deeds to residents across Taveta, Voi and Mwatate constituencies in Taita-Taveta County.

The titles include 12,071 for Chawuse and 12,000 for Kishamba A, resolving longstanding land ownership disputes.

The ongoing survey of remaining parcels will further secure land ownership and unlock the county’s economic potential.
