The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) in collaboration with Mediation Training Institute International East Africa and Partner Institutions are pleased to invite you to the official launch of ICMC’s on the 6th July 2018 at Nairobi safari club - Lilian Towers ** from 6pm** . The launch and dinner will also see the 1st Graduation Ceremony for our 1st group of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators in East Africa . Mediation Training Institute East Africa, Having been training mediators for over 15yrs and seconding many Accredited Mediators to disputes across the country, in collaboration with ICMC aims at enlightening Kenyans of an Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism while working to maintain high standards, quality control and to maintain the integrity and sanctity of mediation against possible abuse in the profession. Being an ICMC Accredited Mediator is a distinguishing mark of quality and proves that you have acquired the necessary tools to solve even the most complex disputes presented to you. As the mediation sector in Kenya expands, key issues that the institute will confront relate to training, accreditation, membership and quality control. All these are within ICMC’s remit and clear opportunities exist to link those challenges to the research and teaching in the mediation field . The result, we hope, will be a strong, ethical and sustainable mediation sector, firmly supporting Kenya’s claim to be the business hub of the East African region. The Institute of chartered mediators and conciliators has been established to set world-class mediation standards in East Africa and the region. ICMC’S role will include setting world-class standards of mediation, providing impartial information about mediation, helping parties make basic decisions about mediation, and to increase awareness and promote the use of mediation as the first line of dispute resolution mechanism among others All MTI International East Africa graduates (2007 - 2018) are invited. The entry fees to the dinner is Kshs 4,500/= only per delegate. You may come with your spouse or any other guest.
