Koru Girls Secondary School Koru Girls Secondary is an Extra-County Girls' Boarding School located in Koru, Muhoroni Sub-County.

Koru Girls Secondary School (KGSS) was established in 1978 under the sponsorship of the Catholic Church of Kisumu Arch Diocese, with a view to creating increased access to education for local girls. Located within a sugar cane growing area and surrounded by a number of large factories namely, Muhoroni, Chemelil Sugar companies and Homa Lime and Agro-chemical and food companies, the school is about 28km off the Kisumu-Nairobi highway. From the humble student population of 62 girls in 1978, the school enrollment has increased to over 846 girls in 2013.

The school is experiencing one of its dark days. We have lost Mwalimu Ben. May his soul rest in peace!!!
