It was a great honor to join a group of women representatives from various counties, as well as some lawmakers, at the Wezesha Mama, Inua Jamii County edition in Turkana.

This event demonstrates the power of community and the importance of empowering women. I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with like-minded people and look forward to continuing our collaboration.

My heartfelt congratulations go to His Excellency President William Ruto on his efforts to empower women.

Today, I had the privilege of visiting Lodwar County Referral Hospital, where I donated two incubator machines to support the neonatal care unit. I also spent time in the paediatric wing, distributing milk and bread to the mothers. It's heartwarming to see the resilience and hope of these families. Let's continue to support our healthcare systems and make a difference in our communities!

What impressed me most was the hospital's initiative to improve patient care - I saw a fish pond, chicken farm, and fresh eggs! Patients are clearly eating well. Kudos to the hospital board for their dedication!

It has been a great week interacting with women in Turkana prior to today's mega International Women's Day celebration 2025.

We had wonderful time together with other partners at Lodwar GK prison distributing food items and other personal effects to men and women behind bars.

Also I joined women in a round table discussion to outline challenges women go through in corridors of justices.

Happy International Women's Day.

It was a great pleasure to grace the 10-year celebrations of menstrual hygiene in Turkana, I would like to thank the partners for rallying to end period poverty in Turkana by distributing sanitary towels to various schools in Lodwar. It was a day of its kind since it is the first time.

This gesture indicates that partners are playing a vast role, and it's our mandate to support their immense efforts.

Am currently attending the burial of the late Mama Rev Martha Ewoi in Lokichar, Turkana South to condole with the family.

Losing one of the family members is a huge sorrowful experience and we usher in the presence of God to comfort the family and give them strength to withstand the pain.

Today was a memorable day to recognise what our mothers have done to transform our lives to be what we are today.

Therefore today I chose to celebrate International mothers day at Lodwar County Refferal Hospital and shared with mothers at maternity wing and pediatric wards the little I had. Also I was privileged to visit Lodwar Women Prison and interacted with inmates to show them the love of a mother. Happy International Mother's Day 2024.
