313 DAYS LEFT TO CHANGE MACHAKOS
MUTHESYA WARD | MASINGA CONSTITUENCY
Today, we are at Manyatta Market, Muthesya Ward, for a Mama Mboga Empowerment engagement.
We are joining the host, Hon. Joshua Mwalyo, MP for Masinga Constituency, and the Chief Guest, Hon. Vincent Kawaya, CBS, MP for Mwala Constituency and UDA National Organising Secretary.
We are also joined by Hon. Caleb Mule, MP for Machakos Town Constituency; Hon. Robert Basil, MP for Yatta Constituency; Hon. Everlyne Nzeki, MCA for Kangundo East Ward; Hon. Boniface Maeke, MCA for Kalama Ward; Hon. Mary Kituku, Nominated MCA; Hon. Caroline Mutuku, Nominated MCA; and Hon. Ann Ndilo, Nominated MCA.
For the people of Muthesya, the needs are clear. Our health facilities in Kathukini, Kikule, Milaani and Muthesya need medicines, enough health workers and reliable services. Families should not have to travel far from home to get basic treatment.
Water remains a major challenge, while roads such as Milaani–Kiatineni, Kariara–Manyatta Market, Stage–Kikomba and Kawethei–Stage–Muthesya–Kwa Kivinya need attention. Farmers also depend on feeder roads along the river to get tomatoes, watermelons and other produce to market. Poor roads increase transport costs and reduce what farmers earn.
Our farmers need reliable markets where they can get better value for their mangoes, oranges, avocados, tomatoes and watermelons. Our young people also need properly equipped vocational training centres, practical skills and opportunities that can lead to jobs or help them start their own businesses.
Under my administration, our priorities in Muthesya will be clear: functioning health facilities with medicines, reliable water, motorable feeder roads, better markets for our farmers, and practical skills and opportunities for our young people.
