6:00 AM: You can expect to count some amazing birds in this area. Between Baboon Cliff and Naishi airstrip to Elementaita.Forest birds like the Grey-crested Helmetshrike and White-fronted Bee-eaters around Makalia Falls
- Migratory birds like the Pallid Harrier and European Bee-eaters (November to April).
- Raptors like Verreaux's Eagles, Augur Buzzards, and Martial Eagles.The vegetation in the western part of Lake Nakuru National Park, specifically between Baboon Cliff, Naishi airstrip, and Elementaita, is quite diverse. You can expect to see:

Gender:: Male. Mabawa-Mekundu is a bird of the starling family Sturnidae found in Kenya.
The male of this Starling 27–30-centimetre (11–12 in) long starling has mainly iridescent black plumage, with chestnut flight feathers, which are particularly noticeable in flight. An omnivorous, generalist species, it prefers cliffs and mountainous areas for nesting, and has moved into cities and towns due to similarity to its original habitat.
Like other starlings, the Kizole Mabawa-mekundu is an omnivore, taking a wide range of seeds, berries, nectar from plants such as Aloe and Schotia brachypetala, and invertebrates, such as the beetle species Pachnoda sinuata..
Kizole Mabawa-mekundu is a cliff nester, breeding on rocky cliffs, outcrops and gorges.
Kizole Mabawa-mekundu builds a lined nest of grass and twigs, and with a mud base, on a natural or structural ledge. It lays two to four, usually three, blue eggs, spotted with red-brown. Kizole Mabawa-mekundu is commonly double-brooded. It may be parasitised by the great spotted cuckoo.
This species has a number of whistled calls, but the most familiar is the contact call, cher-leeeoo.
