In Lari constituency,under our patron Anne Murathe, NGAAF today empowered residents through the distribution of essential tools e.g salon equipment, chips cutters and fryers.
These items are aimed at boosting livelihoods, creating income opportunities.

Under the leadership of our Patron, Hon. Beatrice Adagala - Vihiga County Woman Rep.National Government Affirmative Action Fund - NGAAF extended its Empowerment Initiative to North Maragoli Ward, supporting 12 community groups including women groups, CBOs, dairy and boda boda associations.
We remain committed to uplifting households, strengthening organized groups, and unlocking economic potential across the County.

Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture, and Children Services Cs Hanna Cheptumo, alongside Principal Secretary for Children Services Ms Carren Angengo, NGAAF Board Chair Rebecca Ghati, and Acting CEO NGAAF Grace Wasike, is leading efforts to streamline the gender-based violence (GBV) response and child protection in Kisumu County. The initiative aims to establish a GBV Rescue Safe House for survivors' safety, care, and support.

We later visited Kakamega Remand Home to identify practical ways to improve the children’s welfare.
The day also featured a tree-planting exercise led by Cs Hanna Cheptumo, symbolizing a shared commitment to environmental sustainability.

Strengthening Child Protection in Kakamega 🌟

A high-level delegation headed by the Cabinet Secretary of Gender, Culture, and Children Services, Cs Hanna Cheptumo, in conjunction with the departmental committee on social protection of the National Assembly, convened in Kakamega to conduct an inspection and assessment of the impact of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and child rescue centres.
Among the delegation were the Principal Secretary for Children's Services, Ms Carren Agengo; Chairperson NGAAF, Rebecca Ghati; and Acting Chief Executive Officer NGAAF Grace Wasike.
The meeting facilitated the participation of national leadership and county governments, emphasising the significance of intergovernmental collaboration in strengthening child protection systems and mitigating GBV cases across the nation.
