The initiative aims to establish a GBV Rescue Safe House for survivors' safety, care, and support.

Strengthening Child Protection in Kakamega 🌟

A high-level delegation headed by the Cabinet Secretary of Gender, Culture, and Children Services, Cs Hanna Cheptumo, in conjunction with the departmental committee on social protection of the National Assembly, convened in Kakamega to conduct an inspection and assessment of the impact of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and child rescue centres.
Among the delegation were the Principal Secretary for Children's Services, Ms Carren Agengo; Chairperson NGAAF, Rebecca Ghati; and Acting Chief Executive Officer NGAAF Grace Wasike.
The meeting facilitated the participation of national leadership and county governments, emphasising the significance of intergovernmental collaboration in strengthening child protection systems and mitigating GBV cases across the nation.
