At , we are dedicated to safeguarding the vision and well‑being of our youngest patients. Every Thursday at the Newborn Unit (NBU), our team offers Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) screenings, an essential service that helps detect and manage eye conditions in babies born too soon.👶🏽👁️
ROP happens when the blood vessels in a baby’s retina don’t develop normally. Without early detection and care, it can cause serious vision challenges or even blindness. Babies born prematurely or with low birth weight are more vulnerable, which makes regular screening especially important.
✨ Early screening saves sight. By identifying warning signs early, our specialists can provide timely treatment and follow‑up care, giving every child the best chance at a brighter, healthier future.
Together, let’s continue to champion specialized neonatal care through screening, early intervention, and compassionate healthcare services. You can reach our hotline number for medical emergencies on phone number 0722 207868.
