World Tourism Day celebrations in Mombasa County began with a walk from the famous Pembe Za Ndovu (Mapembeni) to Treasury Square Garden. H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir led the congregation accompanied by county and Nationa officials not forgetting the tourism stakeholders and the Mombasa residents who came out in large numbers.

Renovation of Sewer Networks at Old Town.

Mombasa Water Supply & Sanitation Co.Ltd has been working closely with the Dep. of Water, Natural Resources & Climate Change Resilience- Mombasa. In renovating the sewer networks at the old town ward in Mvita Sub-county.

H.E. Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir presided over the issuance of a total award of KES 29 million to benefit the children who participated in the Holiday Mentorship program. He was accompanied by our CECM Dep. of Water, Natural Resources & Climate Change Resilience- Mombasa. Waziri Emmily Achieng, CECM for the Department of Health Services - Mombasa County Dr. Swabah Ahmed, County Secretary, Mombasa Assembly speaker Hon. Ahrub Khatri, chief of staff Mr. Noah Akala and other county officials

The program was managed by the Elimu Kwanza: Department of Education & Digital Transformation under the leadership of the CECM MR. Abuyaasir Mbwarali Kame. Activities were conducted throughout 9-days during the 2023 August holiday covering 48 public Schools across the County. The program benefited 10,700 students.

H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir graced the grand opening of a new Solar Water Farm Max in Junda ward, Kisauni sub-county that produces up to 75k litres of neat drinking water for the surrounding neighbourhood. The project is under GivePower in collaboration with the Mombasa County Government through the. Dep. of Water, Natural Resources & Climate Change Resilience- Mombasa.

During the campaign, the Governor pledged to the people of Mombasa County that he would find inventive solutions to address the shortfall encountered in supplying fresh potable water to our communities. So the H.E. the Governor is working with stakeholders such as GivePower to drive desalination initiatives at the local level.

Day 2 of the City-to-City Exchange and Data Analysis Workshop concluded with a comprehensive analysis of the data generated by their systems. Mombasa and Nakuru explored energy usage patterns and engaged in discussions on behavioural changes that can lead to energy conservation.

Together, they reflected on the impact they've made and the strategies to reduce power consumption spikes. A day of data-driven progress for a brighter, sustainable future! πŸ“ŠπŸ’‘πŸŒ±

Day 1 of the City-to-City Exchange and Data Analysis Workshop, organized by CoM SSA's partner, Deutsche Gesellschaft fΓΌr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) marks a powerful start to the City-to-City Exchange between Mombasa County and Nakuru county.

The focus is on Urban Smart Energy and together these two countries have embarked on a journey of innovation, sharing insights and action plans to combat climate change.

MOMBASA ASK AGRICULTURAL SHOW & TRADE FAIR 2023

Day 2 of the Mombasa Show 2023 was a major success thanks to everyone and the organizations that contributed to it. The Deputy President H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH graced the occasion and was joined by our Mombasa county Governor H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir.

Later on, they visited our stand accompanied by the Mombasa county secretary Mr. Jaizan Farouk and other dignitaries from the national and county government.
