Sub County Administration together with other County officers today engaged in a planning meeting for a mapping and a public health exercise that will be rolled out on food vendors across all Wards in the County next week.
The meeting was steered by Chief Officer Governance Ms. Rukiya Abdulrahman, Chief Officer Trade Mr. Swaleh Mwalizuma, Director Sub County Administration Mr. Mohamed Bates, Director -E Services & Licensing CPA Abdallah Swaleh among other officials.
This activity goes hand in hand with Governor H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir Manifesto Pillar 4 of Prioritizing Social Welfare & Improving the Quality of Life for the People of Mombasa.

The County Government of Mombasa 🏛, in collaboration with the Department of Public Service Administration and the Department of Environment and Solid Waste Management, is giving Tononoka Social Hall in Mvita Sub County a much-needed facelift.
🌟 The newly renovated Tononoka Social Hall will have
✅ Spacious restrooms with improved accessibility for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and senior citizens.
✅ Proper drainage system to ensure a cleaner environment.
✅ Cabro-paved parking lots
We are committed, under the leadership of H.E Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, to provide our residents with safe, accessible, and organized community social halls. 🤝

Today was Kisauni’s turn to bring out what it has in store in matters of Talent as Mombasa Sanaa Mashinani’s team of judges and organizing committee pitched camp at V.O.K social hall for the auditions today.

Dozens of youth and residents today thronged Changamwe Social Hall and Mikindani Hall in Changamwe and Jomvu sub-counties respectively to audition for the Mombasa Sanaa Mashinani.
Participants showcased various art skills, including singing, dance, poetry, acting, fine arts and many others.
The shortlisted acts will undergo further training from experienced personalities in respective fields at Swahili Pot Hub before proceeding to the grand finals slated for December 2023.
This is in line with Governor Abdulswammad Shariff Nassir's manifesto of uplifting and supporting the Youth in Mombasa through their talent.

Today, alongside leaders, County officials and dignitaries, we accompanied Governor H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir together with the Department of Blue Economy, Agriculture & Livestock and KEMFSED in the commissioning of 10 offshore fishing boats,distributions of modern fishing gears to Mombasa BMUs and disbursement of grants to Mvita sub county Common Interest Groups (CIGs) amounting to Ksh 39 Million.
The county Government of Mombasa through the Department of Blue Economy will continue collaborating and working with Kenya Marine Fisheries Socio-Economic Development Project to improve the livelihood of the County fisherfolks and the economy of Mombasa which is envisaged in H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir Manifesto of Revitalising the economy of Mombasa.
In attendance were Mvita Mp Hon.Mohamed Soud Machele,Speaker of the county Assembly Aharub Khatri ,County Executive Committee members,Deputy County commissioner,Chief officers,members of the Mombasa county Assembly among other guests.

EL NINO PREPAREDNESS!
Led by Waziri Kenneth Ambani alongside Chief Officer Ms. Justina Mwikya, Inspectorate and Sub County Directors Mr. Charles Changawa and Mr. Mohamed Bates, we had an El Nino preparedness and Mitigation Strategies meeting at the Inspectorate offices this morning.
The County Government recognizes the potential impacts of the upcoming El Nino season including heavy rainfall, flooding, landslides and other related hazards and to ensure the safety of residents, properties and Infrastructure, we are developing an integrated action plan to enhance preparedness.
We are mapping out disaster prone areas, identifying informal settlements prone to risks, health facilities around disaster prone areas, routes and areas for evacuation, preparing our Sub County and Ward disaster management committees in readiness for this season, stakeholders we will work with at the grassroots besides other nitigrities.
This report will then be in used to fine tune the overall County El Nino preparation plan in coordination with all departments and partners.
