What does the future look like if there is no successful integration of ICT in education? A 2018 report by the World Economic Forum dubbed "Future of Jobs" concluded that disruptive market changes will lead to the loss of millions of jobs globally.

The majority jobs of the future, however, require skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The girls of today need to be conversant with technology if they are to challenge for opportunities in the labor market of the future. It is not enough that they are conversant; proficiency is crucial if they target technology-laden professions such as coding, graphic design, and other IT-related professions.

We are already feeling the effect, from the ongoing pandemic- Covid-19, where millions of people have lost their jobs, with most businesses turning to technology to survive.

In Kenya a huge % of female in the informal sector have been greatly affected. Perharp, this would have been different if most were conversant with technology.

Over the past decades, we have seen fewer females join the Tech and corporate world in general, most girls:
(i) Either are not aware or shy away from these worlds,
(ii) Lack the relevant skills thus find it hard to get employed or start their own ventures

In schools, skill has not been a major focus over the past years until the year (2018) when the of made a move to change the 32-year old system with a focus on , and development.

Currently, it's still difficult to get employed despite graduating from the University or colleges. On the other hand, Companies have no time or resources to train new employees as it costs them both time and money.

we reach out to this generation particularly girls to equip them with the relevant skills required, build their and give them . Nothing should stop anyone from being all they are meant to be.

We need others to make it! In both good and bad times, someone to inspire and encourages us when it all seems unbearable.
