COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES - ENGAGEMENTS WITH VARIOUS COMMUNITIES

19TH OCTOBER, 2026

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Nguluni and Kivani in Kee Ward, as well as Kyambalasi in Ukia Ward, for the warm reception during our engagement on local development priorities.

With government support, we continue to make progress through projects such as Kyambasa Dam and Mutulani Market, both in Kee Ward, alongside road construction and investments in education. These include the allocation of KSh 40 million to Kyambai Comprehensive School and KSh 50 million to Muthini Primary School for development as a model schools, among other education projects across Kaiti.

These initiatives are helping improve livelihoods, support local businesses and expand opportunities for our people and uplift the communities.

The warmth and enthusiasm shown by residents reaffirm the importance of leadership that listens, understands people's needs and works towards practical solutions.

As I pursue the Member of National Assembly (MNA seat), I remain committed to championing the interests of our people, supporting development initiatives and working towards a better future for all.

A CELEBRATION OF FAITH AND FELLOWSHIP THROUGH MUSIC

18TH OCTOBER, 2026

It was a pleasure to join the faithfuls at AIC Bomani in Machakos as the chief guest, representing the Head of Public Service, Mr. Felix Koskei, for a meaningful time of worship, fellowship and celebration through music.
The gathering, hosted by the church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Paul Mbandi, also marked the launch of the Young Couples Choir rebranded to the Revival Choir.

I was delighted by the enthusiasm of the young people and the uplifting performances by various choirs, alongside gospel musicians John Mbaka and John Kay. Their participation was a beautiful reminder of how faith and music bring people together, strengthen our bonds and inspire the next generation.

The sermon reminded us to deepen our relationship with God, trust in His power and remain firm in our faith. I encouraged the faithful to continue praying for one another and to embrace responsible leadership that puts the needs and well-being of the people first.

I also appreciated the church and the people of Machakos for their continued engagement in development initiatives, including the construction of student hostels at Machakos University and sewer maintenance in Machakos Municipality. Hon. Caleb Mule , MP for Machakos who was at the event affirmed government support in various development projects.

May we continue to nurture our faith, strengthen our unity and work together to improve the lives of our people.

ENGAGEMENT WITH RESIDENTS ON DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES IN KAKUSWI, MBOONI CONSTITUENCY

Today, I joined my fellow leaders at Kakuswi Market in Mbooni Constituency, where we engaged residents on development priorities, shared ideas, and listened to their hopes, concerns, and expectations for the future.

The government’s investment in tarmacked roads has significantly improved connectivity in the area, making it easier for farmers to transport their produce to markets while supporting local businesses and economic growth.

I reaffirmed our commitment to working together with residents to address their needs and advance development initiatives that improve livelihoods and create opportunities for all.

Our focus remains on ensuring that development is inclusive, practical, and responsive to the needs of the people, so that every Kenyan can benefit from the country’s development agenda.

MAZINGIRA DAY: PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT

I led a tree-planting exercise in Nunguni, Kilungu Ward, to mark Mazingira Day, appreciating everyone who joined us in protecting our environment.

I highlighted key development priorities, including the tarmacking of Kyambeke–Kyuasini–Ukia Junction Road, Government plan to establish a TVET institution in Kilungu ward, Kyetuli Dam for agriculture and domestic water, and KSh 250 million for hostels at Kilungu KMTC under the affordable housing programme

I sincerely thank H.E. President William Ruto for supporting these initiatives and advancing development in our communities.

I wish all Kenyans a Happy Mazingira Day! Let us plant trees and protect our environment for future generations.

A DREAM IS BECOMING REALITY!

Work has begun on the Kyambeke–Kikuswi–Mumbuni–Kyuasini–Ukia Road, opening new opportunities for Kaiti constituency through better access to markets, schools, healthcare and transport.

Thank you William Samoei Ruto for prioritising infrastructure and bringing development closer to our people. This is a road to hope, dignity and progress! 🇰🇪
