A Step Forward for Dignity and Wellbeing
Today, our shelter received a generous donation of dignity kits from HIAS KENYA Kenya through the RFSU Project. These essential items will go a long way in supporting the Q***r refugees under our care, strengthening their sense of dignity, safety and belonging. We deeply appreciate the continued partnership and commitment from HIAS KENYA in standing with this community. Your support makes a real, lasting difference.
Thank you, HIAS KENYA and the RFSU , for choosing compassion, inclusion and dignity. 🌈✨

🧡 Still Charged with Purpose 🧡
Fresh from completing the Media Youth Advocate training with , I’m carrying forward the momentum. The past few days reminded me that storytelling isn’t just a skill—it’s a strategy for justice.
Whether it’s amplifying refugee voices or advocating for trans inclusion. I’m committed to using media to shift narratives, challenge exclusion, and build bridges of understanding. Every post, article, and campaign is a chance to make someone feel seen, heard, and valued.
To my fellow advocates: your brilliance continues to inspire me. To the communities we serve: your stories matter. And to those watching—change begins when we speak truth with courage.

🧡 EMPOWERED TO AMPLIFY VOICES 🧡
Today marks the end of a transformative 3-day Media Youth Advocate training hosted by Refugee Consortium of Kenya - RCK under the UNHCR Urban Project. Alongside 14 other youths from refugee and host communities in Nairobi, I’ve spent the past few days immersed in storytelling, advocacy and collective learning.
Facilitated by experienced journalists and legal experts, we explored how the media can be a powerful tool for justice. We learned to write compelling human interest stories, develop impactful social media campaigns and craft op-eds that elevate refugee voices and challenge harmful narratives.
As a trans advocate, this experience has sharpened my ability to amplify marginalized voices—especially those navigating displacement, invisibility and systemic exclusion. I leave this space with stronger skills in digital storytelling, media engagement and rights-based advocacy that will strengthen my work in building inclusive narratives and driving change.
Deep gratitude to and all facilitators for creating this space, and to my fellow advocates for your brilliance, courage and solidarity. The stories we tell matter—and I’m ready to tell them louder, bolder and with purpose.

Stigma isolates. Community heals. 💜🧠💖
Stigma shows up in silence, rejection, discrimination and isolation. It affects mental health, access to care and the ability to live freely. And one of the most painful forms of stigma is the kind caused by your sexual orientation or gender identity — the kind that pushes people out of families, schools, workplaces and even healthcare.
I came across a reminder from the Refugee Consortium of Kenya - RCK on how to manage stigma. It spoke to me deeply, and I want to share it with my own voice:
✅ You deserve care. Ask for help
✅ Isolation makes it worse. Find your people
✅ Don’t hide. Speak to someone who sees you
✅ Your story matters. Share it
✅ Language shapes reality. Use words that empower you
✅ Understanding breaks stigma. Educate and be open
🌈 I believe in building safe spaces, trauma-informed support and community-led healing. We all deserve joy, safety and freedom — not just survival.
📢 Speak out. Reach out. You are not alone

I and Yusuke found this little sweet kitten sick, hungry and exhausted along the street— barely able to move 😿.
Thanks to the gentle care and love from Zziwa and Dora, it’s now slowly recovering and showing signs of strength again 💪🐾❤️.

Sometimes it’s not about big gestures, but simply showing up when someone needs help. 🌧️
Earlier this week, we got a call about a young lady who had been sleeping on the streets of Nairobi for five days — alone, hungry and afraid after facing rejection because of her sexual identity.
We couldn’t look away. Together with Yusuke Ueda, we stepped in, offered her temporary shelter, and went the extra mile to help rent a safe space for her to rest and recover. ❤️
Acts of kindness like this prove that compassion still exists — and together, we can always choose to stand for humanity.

🧡 From the Margins to the Movement 🌍
I’m not here to be silent. I’m here to be seen, heard, and felt.
As an activist, I carry the stories of transgender refugees, survivors of violence and every soul fighting for dignity. Whether I’m crafting visuals, writing proposals, or amplifying voices—we’re building something bigger than ourselves.
This page is a space for truth, transformation and community. If you believe in justice, creativity, and collective power, welcome. Let’s rise together.
