The Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority Board Pays Courtesy Call on Kisumu County Governor

The Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority (KHPOA) Board of Directors, led by the Chairperson, Dr. Amit N. Thakker, EBS, paid a courtesy call to the Governor of Kisumu HE Prof. Anyang' Nyong'o

The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration and partnership between KHPOA and the County Government of Kisumu in advancing quality healthcare and promoting Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Key areas of engagement included strengthening the health workforce, safeguarding the right to health, enhancing professional standards and accountability in healthcare delivery, and strengthening mechanisms for the management and resolution of complaints arising from health facilities.

KHPOA remains committed to working closely with County Governments and other stakeholders to promote quality, safe, ethical and patient-centred healthcare services for all Kenyans.
