BONIFACE MWANGI ARRESTED OVER TERROR FACILITATION

Boniface Mwangi was arrested yesterday, July 19, 2025, by detectives at his residence in Lukenya in Machakos County in connection with the facilitation of terrorist activities during the June 25, 2025, protests.

During the arrest, detectives recovered two mobile phones, a laptop, and several notebooks.

He was later escorted to his office at Mageuzi Hub, Rose Avenue in Hurlingham, where a search led to the recovery of: nine assorted external hard drives, two laptops, company seals for Brave Media Ltd and Courage Ltd, a company stamp, six cheque books, copies of stamp duty documents, two unused tear gas canisters and one 7.62mm blank round.

Mwangi is currently in custody at Pangani Police Station, where he is undergoing processing to be arraigned tomorrow, Monday, July 21, 2025, for offences related to facilitation of terrorist acts and unlawful possession of ammunition.

FIVE ARRAIGNED OVER VIOLENT OL KALOU PROTESTS

Five suspects linked to the violent demonstrations in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County on June 25, 2025, that led to injuries, looting, malicious property damage and arson attacks, have been formally charged in court.

Paul Irungu Kirubi, Paul Njenga Kanyori, John Ndung’u Wanjiru, Samuel Githua Waithera, and Kevin Karuga Nduta were arraigned before the Ol Kalou Law Courts, facing four counts of arson and one count of unlawful destruction of buildings by a riotous assembly.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted a bond of Sh10 million and two sureties each of the same amount. The case is scheduled for mention on July 21, 2025.

CO***NE TRAFFICKER ARRESTED IN ANTI-DRUG OPERATION

A multi-agency team deployed to crack down drug traffickers operating from the Northern Frontier District to the Capital have nabbed a suspected trafficker, Jane Njeri Muigai, in whose possession was discovered 294g of Co***ne concealed in her private part.

The arrest followed the interception of a Nairobi-bound bus from Moyale, at a roadblock manned by the team. Exhibiting behaviour signaling to "the guilty ones are always afraid", female law enforcers isolated the 28-year-old for a thorough search, thereby confirming their suspicion.

The suspect has been booked at Moyale Police Station, as anti-narcotics officers take up the matter to instigate legal processes.
