Four years. One goal. Zero malaria in Kenya by 2030. Kenya has made remarkable progress against malaria, but the finish line demands urgency. Every household that hangs a net, every patient who seeks diagnosis, every home that accepts spraying brings us closer to elimination.

🌍It;s World Asthma Day
Asthma affects millions worldwide, yet with the right care it can be controlled. Every breath matters — let’s protect it by:

🎯Managing triggers like dust, smoke, and pollen
🎯Taking prescribed medication consistently
🎯Supporting children and adults living with asthma through education and empathy

Together, we can reduce attacks, save lives and build a world where everyone breathes freely. 💙

🌍 CHU of the Week 🌍

Winjo Community Health Unit, Migori County.

Work that speaks for itself. Households reached, follow-ups done, referrals made, and a system that keeps moving because people show up and do what needs to be done.

It’s the kind of consistency you don’t always see, but you feel it in healthier communities and stronger links to care.

💬 This is what it looks like when community health is working, steady, practical, and grounded in everyday action.

Protect two lives with one dose, every ANC visit. Malaria during pregnancy puts both mother and baby at serious risk: low birth weight, anaemia, and even death. Intermittent Preventive Treatment in Pregnancy (IPTp-SP) is free, safe, and proven. Every pregnant woman should receive IPTp at each antenatal care visit. Attend all your ANC visits.

Fever? Test first, then treat with confidence. Not every fever is malaria. Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) give accurate results in under 15 minutes at your health facility. If positive you will be given treatment. Do not self-medicate.
