YOTHA Co-chairs Jaoko Oburu and Zack Kinuthia today held a meeting to deliberate on the state of the BBI initiative and emerging political trends in the country. An announcement on the way forward will be made soon.

PRIME MINISTER RAILA ODINGA'S HEALTH

We are pleased to infirm you that Rt.Hon. Raila Odinga is in perfect health and only checked into Nairobi hospital for routine checks owing to some fatigue. He will be out of hospital in a short while ready to continue the journey of service to the people of Kenya.

Rt.Hon.Prime Minister Raila Odinga is continuing with his roaring tour of the coast. Today,he was in Taita Taveta county, where the crowds could not be suppressed. The BBI message was sent out loud and clear as the residents affirmed their continued loyalty to the Rt.He n Raila.

JUDICIARY OMBUDSMAN

A New Article 172A is to be introduced in the proposed constitutional changes being advanced by the BBI to create the office of the judiciary Ombudsman. The office will be responsible for the following:
1) Receiving and conduct inquiries into complaints against judicial officers and staff

2) Sensitise and promote engagement with the public

3)Improve transparency and accountability of the judiciary

4)Prepare annual reports to the JSC and Parliament
There is no better way to protect the public against rogue judicial officers than to have an office with the above mentioned mandate. The common man will finally have a place to run to when faced with rogue officers.

BBI means prompt and sure justice for the common man.

Saturday 27th the February was a busy day for YOTHA team in western Kenya. The day started with a BBI forum in Busia county which was attended by the entire team of Busia County CECs. YOTHA Co-chair Jaoko Oburu and National Coordinator Jeremy Ochieng were present. part of the team later joined Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Matungu to drum up support for the ODM candidate in the upcoming by election.

CONSTITUENCIES DEVELOPMENT FUND

Did you know that the BBI proposes the introduction if a new Article 206A into the Constitution, which seeks to entrench the Constituencies Development Fund in the Constitution? Now you know.

Through this change,the CDF will attain acsrnse if permanence and will require a referendum to remove it, unlike today ,where MPs can remove through a mere Act of Parliament.
BBI seeks to protect the flow of funds to the grassroot.

Super Tuesday has been a resounding success,it is now all the way to the referendum.

Today is SUPER TUESDAY, it is all the way to the referendum. BBI wins,Kenyans win. For sure nobody can stop reggae.

THE PAST POINTS US TO THE FUTURE

The political space enjoyed in Kenya today did not come easy,it was fought for hard and rough in years past. It took life and limb for kenyans to be able to talk freely as we do. The role played by the likes of P.M. Raila Odinga,Dr.Mukhisa Kituyi and Prof.Kivutha Kibwana to give Kenyans a voice cannot be gain said, this valiant men fought hard and strong, paying a very high price for us to get here.

We also remember that these individuals played a key role in bringing forth the NARC government which revived the fortunes of Kenya,a land that was being taken down the drain by the ravenous KANU regime. It was the NARC government where P.M. Raila Odinga and Dr.Mukhisa Kituyi held key positions that the strategy and ex*****on of the plan for Kenya's economic revival was done, giving kenyans the heady 2000's when our economy grew by leaps and bounds. We are happy that members of the political grouping that gave us great things in the past are regrouping to give us a renewed start. Kenyans must not allow the old KANU system to rear its ugly head at us.The bitter past remains fresh in our minds.
