As we celebrate the 63rd Madaraka Day, we honor our nation’s journey of freedom, unity, and self-determination.

I sincerely thank H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto for making history by leading this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations in Wajir, the first in Northern Kenya since Independence.

This milestone has reinforced the spirit of inclusion and made the people of Northern Kenya feel proud, valued, and equal in our shared Kenyan identity.

𝗘𝗜𝗗 𝗠𝗨𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗞,𝗧𝗔𝗤𝗔𝗕𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗛𝗨 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗔 𝗪𝗔 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗨𝗠 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗛𝗔𝗟 𝗔'𝗠𝗔𝗟

On the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, I joined Muslims across Alinjugur in profound reflection, devotion, and celebration, in a moment that serves as a powerful and enduring reminder of the virtues of selflessness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to the Almighty.

In marking this blessed period, I underscored the importance of unity, solidarity, and mutual support within our community. Through the noble acts of charity and sacrifice that define Eid al-Adha, we are reminded that our collective strength lies in uplifting the vulnerable, deepening social cohesion, and advancing a spirit of peace, harmony, and shared prosperity for all.

May this sacred occasion continue to inspire us to strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and service to humanity, and may Allah accept our sacrifices and bless our communities with lasting peace, prosperity, and unity

𝗔𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi underscored a renewed Africa–France partnership focused on shared prosperity, economic transformation, and sovereign equity.

The Summit, co- hosted by H.E. Dr. William Ruto and H.E. Emmanuel Macron, highlighted key priorities including domestic resource mobilisation, reform of the international financial architecture, infrastructure and connectivity development, green industrialisation, energy transition, and youth empowerment through innovation and AI.

As the summit concludes, African leaders called for partnerships founded on mutual respect, shared responsibility, and mutually beneficial investment rather than dependence or aid, with participation from African Heads of State, diplomats and development partners.

The Republic of Kenya and the United Republic of Tanzania continue to enjoy warm and cordial relations, underpinned by deep historical ties, geographical proximity, and a shared commitment to regional integration.

Honored to have accompanied H.E. Dr. William Ruto on this historic State Visit, which reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.

The State Visit provided an opportunity to reaffirm diplomatic relations and to explore expanded opportunities for trade, investment, and joint ventures.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. It is with profound sadness that I received the news of the passing of our brother, Arab Subey.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, widen and illuminate his grave, and grant him the highest مقام in Jannatul Firdowsa.

Hon. Mohamed Subey and the entire family, we pray that Allah grants you strength, patience, and comfort during this difficult time. May He also console all friends and loved ones mourning this great loss. Ameen.

Warm congratulations to Hon. Justice Warsame Abdullahi Mohammed on his nomination by the Judicial Service Commission as Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya.

This well-deserved recognition reflects his distinguished service, deep jurisprudence leadership, unwavering integrity, and steadfast commitment to the rule of law.

The East African Community Secretariat, as the executive organ of the EAC, remains central to driving the Community’s programmes, policies, and regional integration agenda.

Honoured to have attend yesterday’s handover ceremony at the EAC Headquarters as Hon. Veronica Nduva formally passed the mantle of leadership to Amb. Stephen Mbundi a moment symbolizing continuity, service, and renewed commitment to the East African Community.

This transition embodies the enduring vision of the EAC an institution greater than any one individual, yet shaped profoundly by the dedication of its leaders.
