As we celebrate Mashujaa Day, I take a moment to honor the brave men and women who shaped the soul of our nation , the heroes who fought for freedom, justice, and the promise of a better Kenya.

This year, our celebration carries deeper meaning as we bid farewell to a towering figure , Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga. His journey, courage, and lifelong commitment to democracy and equality remind us that true heroism lives in service to others.

Raila’s legacy transcends politics , he embodied resilience, hope, and the dream of a united Kenya. As a leader and a mentor, his voice inspired generations, and his impact will continue to guide us as we strive for a more inclusive and prosperous nation.

On this Mashujaa Day, I celebrate him, and all those who dared to stand firm for what is right.

I join millions of Kenyans in mourning the passing of a true statesman, Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga. His departure marks the end of an era defined by courage, resilience, and an unyielding commitment to justice and democracy.

Baba dedicated his life to the struggle for a better Kenya, one rooted in equality, good governance, and freedom for all. His political wisdom and steadfast spirit have left an indelible mark on our nation’s history.

As Kenya continues to celebrate the victory of our champions, we remain thankful to God for guiding us this far and trust His plans for an even greater future , for our nation and for the people of Mombasa.

Today was a proud moment for me as Chairperson of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund, standing alongside H.E. President William Samoei Ruto , CS H.E. Salim Mvurya , and PS Fikirini Jacobs and other leaders at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega.

We are charting a new chapter for Kenya’s young people, rolling out transformative programmes that open doors to jobs here at home and abroad, equip our youth with digital skills, and empower them to build thriving businesses. From affordable credit and grants to mentorship and access to government tenders, our mission is to ensure no young person is left behind.

It was especially fulfilling to hand over cheques worth millions to hundreds of our youth now heading for overseas employment through the Labour Mobility Programme, and to unveil the new "Kuna Form" portal that will make government opportunities more accessible than ever before.

Kenya’s youth are not just the future, they are the force shaping our present.

Yesterday I was deeply inspired as we launched the National Youth Week at Pwani University, Kilifi, standing alongside leaders committed to placing young people at the heart of our nation’s transformation. Present was the Deputy President H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki Cabinet Secretaries H.E. Salim Mvurya and CS Julius Migos Ogamba.

As a youth champion, I believe deliberate and consistent investment in young people is the greatest act of patriotism. We must create platforms that spark opportunity, drive innovation, and fuel purpose.

We will raise a generation that leads with courage, dignity, and conviction.

I remain committed to this mission.
