Today, the Attorney General Hon. Dorcas Oduor, EGH, presided over the 58th National Coordinating Committee (NCC) Meeting held at the KICC, where stakeholders from various sectors convened to deliberate on strengthening integrity systems, promoting accountability and enhancing the fight against corruption.
In her remarks, the Attorney General underscored the importance of collective responsibility, institutional collaboration and regional partnerships in advancing good governance and ethical leadership. She noted that Kenya continues to make significant strides in strengthening anti-corruption frameworks through coordinated reforms, policy implementation and enhanced accountability mechanisms.
She further highlighted the role of the Kenya Leadership Integrity Forum (KLIF) in fostering stakeholder engagement and promoting a unified national approach towards integrity, transparency and public trust. The Attorney General reiterated the Government’s commitment to sustaining reforms aimed at improving service delivery and reinforcing the country’s governance structures.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for engagement and knowledge exchange between Kenya and South Africa on best practices in combating corruption and strengthening institutional integrity systems.

This morning, the Attorney General, Hon Dorcas Oduor, EGH, alongside the Solicitor General, Hon.Shadrack Mose, CBS, received the President of the Court of Appeal Justice Daniel Musinga who paid a courtesy call at the AG's office in a meeting that reaffirmed the longstanding cooperation and mutual commitment between the Office of the Attorney General and the Judiciary in promoting the rule of law and safeguarding constitutional governance.
The discussions focused on strengthening institutional collaboration, enhancing efficiency in the administration of justice, and fostering closer coordination on matters of national legal importance. The leaders emphasized the critical role of strong institutions in advancing good governance, accountability, and access to justice for all Kenyans.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Married Room and the newly refurbished Training Centre, where they received briefings on ongoing initiatives geared towards capacity building, professional excellence, and improved service delivery within the justice sector.

Today, the Attorney General Hon. Dorcas Oduor, EGH, joined H.E. the President William Samoei Ruto Ruto, senior government officials, members of the Judiciary and the legal fraternity at State House for the swearing-in of a Supreme Court Judge and the conferment of Senior Counsel status.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in strengthening the administration of justice and upholding the rule of law in the country.
Amongst those sworn in was Justice Mohamed Abdullahi Warsame, who officially took oath as the 14th Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya.
The conferment of Senior Counsel status also recognized distinguished advocates for their exemplary service, contribution to the legal profession and commitment to justice.
Also present during the ceremony were Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, Chief Justice Martha Koome, senior members of the Executive and Judiciary, as well as leaders from the legal fraternity.
The event underscored the continued collaboration between institutions in advancing constitutionalism, justice and good governance in Kenya.

The Attorney General, Hon. Dorcas Oduor, EGH, today joined H.E. President William Samoei Ruto national leaders, family, and friends in Bomet County for the burial of the late Mzee Edwin Koech, the beloved father to Hon. Davis Chirchir, Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport.
The ceremony brought together leaders from across the country in a show of unity and support as they paid their last respects and celebrated a life well lived. The Attorney General conveyed her heartfelt condolences to Hon. Chirchir and his family, noting that the loss of a parent is deeply painful and profoundly personal.

Role out of the National Legal Aid Services in Nakuru County.
The Attorney General Hon.Dorcas Oduor, EGH, today presided over the commissioning of the National Legal Aid Centre at Nakuru Maximum Prison, alongside Principal Secretary for State Department for Justice, Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs KE Hon. Judith Pareno and Principal Secretary for State Department of Correctional Services, Dr. Salome Beacco, marking a major step in expanding access to justice for all, including persons in custody and vulnerable communities.
In her address, the AG emphasized that the initiative is about more than infrastructure. “This occasion is not merely about opening a facility, it is about affirming a principle: that justice in Kenya must be accessible, inclusive, and humane,” she stated.
The Centre, established under the National Legal Aid Service, will support both inmates and the wider Nakuru community, addressing key justice needs including land disputes, probate and administration, and matters involving children in conflict with the law.
Reaffirming the constitutional guarantee under Article 48, the AG noted: “Justice must never be the preserve of the privileged, but a lived reality for every Kenyan, including those within our correctional institutions.” She added that prisons must remain spaces where rights are safeguarded.
The AG further highlighted the Centre’s role in enabling inmates to access legal advice, pursue appeals, and engage meaningfully with the justice system, noting the use of innovative, container-based units that bring services closer to the people in a cost-effective and accessible way.

The Attorney General, Hon. Dorcas Oduor, EGH, today graced the Kisumu Free Medical Camp at Obambo Comprehensive School, in Kisumu County as the Chief Guest, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to accessible, people-centered services for all.
The outreach, organized under the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services through the State Department for Children Services, brought essential services closer to the community, benefiting hundreds of residents.
The event was hosted by Principal Secretary for State department of Children Services Hon.. Other leaders present included Ps for State Department of Medical Services, Hon. Oluga and Member of Parliament for Kisumu West, Hon. Rozaah Buyu.
In her remarks, the Hon. AG emphasized the importance of bringing services closer to the people, stating: “Access to justice, healthcare, and social services is a fundamental right. Initiatives such as this ensure that no Kenyan, especially the most vulnerable, is left behind.”
The camp provided a wide range of integrated services including health screening and treatment, disability assessment, SHA registration, National ID registration, civil registration services, social support programmes, and the solemnization of civil marriages.

This afternoon, the Attorney General, Hon. Dorcas Oduor, EGH, together with the Secretary to the Cabinet, Mercy Wanjau, chaired a high-level engagement with Heads of Departments from the Office of the Attorney General at the refurbished Training Centre, with technical input and participation from Ambassador Isaac Ochieng' of the eCitizen Directorate.
The session commenced with a comprehensive briefing that underscored ongoing institutional reforms, with particular focus on service delivery enhancement and alignment with the e-Citizen premium service framework. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to strengthening efficiency, transparency, and citizen-centric service provision within the State Law Office.
As part of the programme, the leadership undertook a guided tour of key operational areas, including the Marriage Registry, where they witnessed the solemnization of two weddings demonstrating the practical impact of reforms in improving public access to timely and dignified legal services.
The visit reaffirmed the Office’s strategic role in advancing digital transformation and service excellence across government, while showcasing the tangible progress made in modernizing critical public service points.
