As we wrap up the Engineering Technology 4.0 Workshop at Nickolee Hotel, Nanyuki Town, we highlight the critical role of Artificial Intelligence in modern engineering design.
For Engineering Technology professionals, AI-powered design software offers powerful capabilities, but its use must remain guided by sound engineering judgment, ethical responsibility, and a clear understanding of core principles. AI should enhance accuracy, efficiency and innovation not replace professional expertise.
The Institution of Engineering Technology of Kenya appreciate all participants for their engagement and collaboration. In her closing remarks, the President of the Institution of Engineering Technology, Bibiye Mahmoud Juma, emphasized the importance of embracing technology to grow the economy. She reminded technologists, technicians, artisans, and craftsmen that they are the implementers in the engineering sector and play a crucial role in shaping the economy. The Engineering Technology sector needs to grow to ensure that we achieve Vision 2030.
