Dr. John Bii, the Director Kenya School of Government, Baringo Campus, paid a courtesy call to the Director General, Directorate of Immigration Services at Nyayo House, Nairobi to share an update on the ongoing induction training of 300 Immigration Officers at the Campus.

The Director General Immigration Services visited the Kenya Embassy in Washington DC on routine supervision on how the Directorate is offering Consular Services to Kenyans in Diaspora. During the visit, the DG paid a courtesy call to CDA Ms. Jayne Toroitich and met the embassy staff. The DG engaged Immigration attache's Peter Karoki and Moses Omwago on enhancing service delivery to Kenyan Diaspora community and the role of Consular Services in facilitating the Diaspora community participate more in National Development. She had an opportunity of interacting with Kenyans seeking Consular services at the Embassy.

Today, DG Immigration visited the Kenya High Commission in Ottawa Canada. During the visit, the DG paid a courtesy call to the Chef de Mission adjoint Amb. Moni Manyange, and engaged the Immigration AttachΓ©, Rosemary Chemutai on the Government's commitment to facilitate Kenyans in Diaspora and on ways of enhancing efficiency in service delivery to Kenyans living in Canada.
The visit was a routine check on the Consular Services offered.

The Director General, Directorate of Immigration Services, Evelyn Cheluget, EBS, OGW, ndc(K), officiated the opening ceremony of the Basic Immigration Officers' Induction course at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) Campus in Kabarnet this morning.
She highlighted her unwavering commitment to upskilling the Directorate's staff for better results.
The DG described the induction as a well-thought-out program by the Government to equip the officers with a strong foundation in patriotism. She encouraged the officers to embrace professionalism and approach their public service career with determination.
The DG was received at KSG Baringo by the Campus by the Director, Dr. John Bii. The Director congratulated officers on being selected to serve the country and urged them to always uphold the values and principles of the good governance.
The DG was flanked by senior officials from the Directorate of Immigration Services, including Mr. Fredrick Baya, Director in charge of Permits; Mr. Wanda Dume, Deputy Director of Training; Mr. Erick Rotich, Deputy Director in charge of the South Rift Region; and Mr. Maurice Ayanda, Deputy Director, in charge of the North Rift.

Post Master General Dan Kagwe and Director General Alexander Muteshi signing an MOU to have Postal Corporation of Kenya deliver passports directly to the applicants.
The initiative will be fully operational from 01.09.2020, and is currently on the pilot stage.
Through the initiative, passport applicants will not have to visit our offices to pick ready passports.
This will significantly
save time for applicants,
reduce congestion in our offices,
And help in the fight against spread of COVID-19.
