The 7th Engineering Partnerships Conference (EPC) 2026, themed “Blueprint for Prosperity: Engineering a Sustainable Blue Economy,” was officially opened Yesterday by the Principal Secretary, State Department for Roads, at Pride Inn Hotel, Mombasa.

The event was attended by senior leadership from various State Departments, including the Principal Secretary, State Department for Shipping and Maritime, Eng. Aden; the Principal Secretary, State Department for Environment, Eng. Festus Ngeno; and the Principal Secretary, State Department for TVET, Dr. Esther Muoria.

The conference brought together local and international engineering professionals, providing a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The Registrar/CEO of KETRB was among the Chief Executives of State Corporations present during the launch. In her remarks, she highlighted the need for both the public and private sectors to engage registered and licensed engineering technologists to ensure public safety and regulatory compliance.

She further emphasized the importance of collaboration and the need to forge strong partnerships among all stakeholders in the practical implementation of the blue economy strategy.

Building stronger academic–professional partnerships!
On 9th April 2026, Ag. Registrar /Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board (KETRB) held a consultative meeting with Mount Kenya University Vice Chancellor Prof.Deogratius Jaganyi, at the university’s main campus,Thika.
The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the Board and the University, particularly on matters related to Engineering Technology education, programme assessment, and professional development.
