RECRUITMENT OF COUNTY AGENTS;

Kenya National Private Security Workers Union is a duly registered Trade Union with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, with the sole mandate of representing Interests of unionizable employees engaged in provision of the Private Security Services in the Republic of Kenya. The Union has a potential guard force of over 500,000 members spread across the Country.

The Union is seeking to expand its Countrywide coverage in the 47 Counties for purposes of devolving services to members and aligning Itself to the Constitution of Kenya. 2010. We are seeking to intuit 47 County Agents who shall spearhead and champion Union matters as well as provide quick link between members. our existing branches and the National Headquarters.

Qualifications

Job Advertisement for the Position of Director of Finance. Job Group (R)

The Director of Finance will be the Head of Finance and Account Department in the Assembly, and will report to the Clerk
of the Assembly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring sound financial and accounting procedures, principles and controls.
• Implementing financial reports, statements and accounting records
• Overseeing cash and Credit management and exchequer operations both for expenditure and revenue in liaison
with Central Bank of Kenya and other banks.
• Developing and implementing sound financial management policies, systems and procedures aimed at improving
financial reporting and accounting.
• Planning and coordinating timely preparation of annual work plans and budget estimates
• Providing strategic direction in the Finance and Planning functions of the Assembly.
• Working closely with the Management team and advising on financial implications of the proposed actions.
• Developing, reviewing and implementing appropriate Financial Policy Framework to guide decision making.
• Following up with Officers in the Department on noncompliance with standards, circulars, financial regulations and
procedures, letters and policies.
• Ensuring that Financial Strategy is linked with the overall strategy of the County Assembly.
• Monitoring effective implementation of the Financial and Accounting strategy.
• Overseeing Resource Mobilization for the Assembly
• Ensuring adherence to contractual agreements
• Ensure safe custody of Assembly assets and records under him/her and supervision, training and development of
Finance and account staff in the Assembly.
Minimum Qualifications:
For appointment to this Position, an officer must have:-
• Served in a similar position or Deputy Director in Government Institution or Public Service, for a minimum period of
ten (10) years;
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas: Commerce (Finance/ Accounting option) or Economics,
qualifications from a recognized university.
• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Accounts, Finance or Commerce will be an added
advantage.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) K Finalist or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Finalist. Or Certified Investment
and Financial Analyst Finalist (CIFA) and Must be a Member of ICPAK or any relevant professional body.
• Demonstrated professional Managerial capabilities and initiatives in the general organization and management of
a public/Government sector.
• Proficiency in application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
• Have good understanding of the Public/ Government Service Financial and Accounting operations.
• Attended strategic leadership Development Programme course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized
institution.
• Thorough Knowledge of IFMIS System.
• Must be fluent in English both written and spoken
