The Community Service Orders Programme falls within the Kenya's Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
It is provided for under an Act of Parliament; the Community Service Orders Act no. 10 of 1998 which was enacted by Parliament to introduce and regulate community service by offenders in certain cases. Community service order is a non-custodial sentence granted by a court requiring an offender to perform unpaid public work for the benefit of the community as punishment for the crime committed. Pub
