The County Immunization Review Meeting took place in Kisumu County.
The Kisumu Cluster bringing together 15 counties Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira,Bomet, Nakuru, Nandi, Kericho,Bungoma,Kakamega,Vihiga,Busia, Transnzoia,Uasin Gishu counties was proud to participate in this national review convened by the Ministry of Health through the National Vaccine and Immunization Program (NVIP).
In attendance were Dr. Rose Jalang'o Head National Vaccines and Immunization Program, Dr. Boston Zimba WHO , Dr. Kibet Sergon WHO and Dr. Wesley Ooga MOH, alongside county immunization teams and supported by health partners committed to strengthening immunization services across Kenya.
The meeting provided a platform to review performance, strengthen planning, improve data quality, and advance equitable immunization coverage for every child. Together, we continue to champion healthier communities through collaboration and evidence driven action. 💉

Building brighter futures through healthy families
Today, partners and key stakeholders convened at the “Reading to Protect” co design workshop to examine how immunization, early childhood development, literacy, and nurturing care can be integrated to enhance the wellbeing of every child in Kenya.
The workshop brought together distinguished participants including Dr. Sejal Shah, Worldreader Kenya Board Member Dr. Rose Jalang'o, Head of Kenya’s National Vaccines and Immunization Program (NVIP), Ministry of Health Dr. Supa Tunje, President of Kenya Paediatric Association Professor Fred Were, CEO, KEPRECON alongside caregivers and other stakeholders.
Discussions centered on enhancing caregiver involvement, expanding access to reliable health information, and developing innovative approaches that support children to grow, learn, and reach their full potential. Empowering families with the right knowledge and resources lays the foundation for healthier children, stronger communities, and a more promising future.
