its with great shock and sadness that i have learnt the passing on of my brother and freind ibrahim barrow hassan CEC finance and economic planning mandera county government earlier today

Waziri ibrahim was a long time freind, very principled, commited to duty and an excellent public servant!

May Allah have mercy on his soul and expiate his sins!

My brothers and sisters covid-19 is real, mask up, avoid crowded spaces, sanitize and save lives!

A section of leaders from Mandera County Assembly have sat and initiated a dispute resolution mechanism concerning the disagreement on the proposed Air strip in Takaba.

I am personally disturbed by the reactions on social media and would wish to urge all communities to calm down as we have begun the process of finding a resolution.

Here is a press conference by members of The county Assembly concerning this matter.

Held talks with the chair of public accounts committee of the senate of the Republic of Kenya Hon Moses kajwang and meru County senator Hon mithika linturi on proper oversighting of usage of County resources on the sidelines of public accounts chairs caucas of all counties and the senate recently in a retreat in Mombasa!

Let me also take this opportunity to invite members of the public who are in possession of substantial evidence of theft of public funds to my committee any case of theft of public funds!

Public accounts committee which I chair will reccommend prosecution of any public official be it in the County assembly or the executive caught in pilferage and self enrichment and institute criminal proceedings in collaboration with the office of director of public prosecutions and EACC!
Public officers who are given the opportunity to serve should not abuse that previllage!

Public resources should be prudently used to uplift the lives of the citizenry and that’s our position!

Finally I welcome the presidential directive of lifestyle audit for all, it has been long over due!

As always this election is about building bridges, it's about strengthening our hard earned unity, it's about defeating impunity perpetuated by power hungry incumbents, it's about defeating dehumanizing and abject poverty, it's about creating hope where there is none, it's about standing firm in the face of tyranny and depression.

As expected there are those pessimistic lot who believe we cannot achieve all this. Together i understand the skepticism. After all, every five years candidates vying for different positions make similar promises and I expect this year will be no different. All of us will travel around the county unveiling ten-point plans and making grand speeches. All of us will trumpet those qualities we believe make us uniquely qualified to lead.

But too many times after the election is over and the coffetti is swept away all those promises fade from memory, and the lobbyists and the special interests moves in, and the people turn away dissapointed, dissolutioned as before, left to struggle on there own.

This is why this campaign is not only about me, it's about us, it must be about what we can do together. This campaign must be the occassion, the vehicle of our hopes and dreams. It will take your time, your energy and your advice to push us forward when we're doing right and to let us know when we're not. This election has to be about reclaiming our lost glory, restoring our sense of common purpose and tackle the few obstacles ( FIRFIRSA ) been one and to withstand the power of millions of voices yearning for change.

By myself alone, this change seems illusive and will not happen, divided we're bound to fail, that's why I request your support to effect this change together. But the life of a tall, gangly, self made career civil servant like myself and like minded TOKKUMA colleagues tells me that a different future is possible, that there is power in words, there is power in conviction, there is power in hope, that beneath all this struggles and differences we are one people, that is what ECONOMIC FREEDOM PARTY is all about.

To my supporters in TAKABA WARD who believe in my ability to uplift the lives of the citizenry, we have a responsibility to win this battle, the battle for better schools, better gainful employment for our youths neglected by the current administration, better social protection programmes for our elderly, destitutes and disadvantaged members of our society, better Medicare for all with out forgetting provision of safer drinking water for our people, sad to think of millions of our people starving when we have billions in our county coffers, this again is perpetuated by inept current administration whose main agenda is thievery and embezzlement of public purse. We have a huge responsibility to vote them out, we have a responsibility to re write our history by defeating puppets, power hungry politicians, impunity, war lords, robbers, briefcase government and replace them with people focused, servant leadership where accountability, transparency and employment on merit is the standard.

I want us to take up unfinished business of perfecting our unity under the TOKKUMA( WADHAJIRKA ) ideology and building a better and prosperous Takaba. Together starting from today let us finish the work that needs to be done and usher a new birth of freedom and hope in Takaba and mandera county as whole.

InshaAllah tommorow I will be heading to Takaba to sensitize voters on the need to register as a voter
I will also engage voters in my ward and understand the challenges they are facing obvious ones being acute water shortages and striking drought, on the latter any sane humane will be dismayed by the in ability of both levels of government not showing any commitment to fight this menace, once elected I will rally my colleagues to implement bills on social protection, cash transfer and restocking programs to cushion our people from perennial drought or rather compensate them Incase they loose there animals in times of excessive drought.

Remember BAD LEADERS ARE ELECTED BY GOOD PEOPLE WHO DON'T VOTE!
Dear voters this is the chance to change the face of our county by electing leaders of high integrity and experience, let's urge eligible voters to get registered in large numbers!

There is a great need for Transformative leadership that will propel us to achieving our Vision 2030 goals.Our Young Generation are our county's untapped resources and I believe together we can change lives if granted the opportunity, at the moment our current mca's who have been mandated to oversight the usage of county funds are in bed with the executive there by loosing focus of guarding public coffers from cartels whose apetite for public purse is growing day by day, my candidature will be the game changer in the fight against graft, fight for the rights of minorities, grant opportunities for the vulnerable and destitutes, empower our youth,orphans, widows and women folks who felt snubbed by the current regime. On 15th january when voter registration starts tell a freind to tell afreind who knows a freind to get registered, they say bad leaders are voted in by good citizens who dont vote, during this registration period as a voter you have a chance to change the narrative and vote for trasnsformative,accomodative,inclusive and politics of progress and send the lords of poverty and cartels who have looted the county coffers left right and centre to the dustbin of political oblivion
