FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
USAWA KWA WOTE PARTY TO FIELD CANDIDATES IN ALL ELECTIVE POSITIONS NATIONWIDE
Nairobi, Kenya | 7 August 2026

The Usawa Kwa Wote Party has resolved to field candidates for all elective positions across the Republic of Kenya in the 2027 General Election, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Kenya's constitutional multiparty democracy and expanding political choice for all citizens.

Addressing the media in Nairobi today, Party Leader Hon. Mwangi Wa Iria said no region of Kenya should be treated as the exclusive political preserve of any political party, noting that such zoning undermines the constitutional freedoms of association, political participation, and democratic competition.

The Party maintained that every political party has the constitutional right to freely promote its ideology, recruit members, campaign, and field candidates in every part of Kenya without intimidation or artificial political boundaries.

Key Resolutions
The Party will field candidates for all elective positions, from President to Member of County Assembly (MCA), across the country.

The Party rejected the practice of zoning regions as political strongholds, saying it is inconsistent with the Constitution and undermines political rights in a democratic society.

All Kenyans interested in contesting under the Usawa Kwa Wote Party ticket have been invited to register as aspirants immediately.

A National Aspirants Convention will be held later this month in Nairobi to prepare candidates for the 2027 General Election.

The Party will launch the Usawa Mashinani Programme, through which its leadership will engage wananchi across the country, listen to their concerns, and popularize the Party's agenda at the grassroots.

Hon. Mwangi Wa Iria called upon leaders across the political divide to exercise political tolerance, respect divergent political opinions, and conduct issue-based campaigns.

He further appealed to all Kenyans to safeguard peace, unity, and tranquility throughout the electioneering period as the countdown to the 2027 General Election begins.

Statement by Hon. Mwangi Wa Iria
"Kenya belongs to all Kenyans. Every political party has the constitutional right to organize, campaign, and seek the people's mandate in every part of our country. Democracy flourishes when competition is free, fair, peaceful, and based on ideas—not on geographical monopolies. Let us uphold political tolerance and preserve peace for the good of our nation."
