The 9th WEEC Opening Ceremony Was a Glamourous day as members from the UN Enviroment attended the globally recognized conference event notably our own head of Unit Ms. Jaime Alexandra Webbe, Chief, Environmental Education and Training Unit and Mr Elliott C. Harris, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the New York Office of UN Enviroment.
As you know, in the context of the development of the UN Youth Strategy, the Network decided to launch a Youth Survey that will inform the drafting process.
We are pleased to inform you that the Youth Survey for the development of the UN Youth Strategy is now open until 23 June at 12pm CET via this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/UN-Strategy-Youth
This Survey is addressed to every young person out there who is between 10 and 30 years old and wishes to share their views with the UN System. As such, we would be grateful if you could share it widely with your networks and through your social media accounts. The Survey has also been distributed through the UREPORT interface.

Dear GUPES members,
I am pleased to inform you that Tongji University will once again host the Tongji - UN Environment International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability from 2 - 7 June in Shanghai, China. This year, in recognition of World Environment Day, the overarching theme is "Connecting People to Nature".
Registration for the Conference is now open and will be available online from 15 March to 15 April 2017.
As an indication of their strong and on-going commitment to education for sustainable development, Tongji University, the Chair of the Global University Partnership on Environment and Sustainability will be offering 10 scholarships for excellent candidates from GUPES members: 2 in Latin America, 3 in Africa, 3 in Asia, 1 in North America and 1 in Europe. The scholarship will cover international airfare and local accommodation in Shanghai.
