REREC CEO Dr. Rose Mkalama today hosted Members of Parliament and other leaders from Kitui County to discuss ongoing and planned electrification projects. The delegation included Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, MP for Kitui South, and Hon. Charles Ngusya Nguna, MP for Mwingi West, alongside other leaders from the county. Discussions focused on project progress, emerging challenges and ways to accelerate electricity access for households, public institutions and businesses across Kitui County. REREC remains committed to working with national and county-level stakeholders to expand reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity access.

The routine maintenance and spot improvement of the Ngongoni-Kavoloi-Kathita Nzau Road is ongoing.

Scope of work includes;
▪️Bush clearing
▪️Grading
▪️Culverts installation
▪️Murram application

The road will ensure safer passage for residents, ease transportation of farm produce, and connect our villages to markets.

Today, I joined friends, Church, and family of the late Lt Col. (Rtd) James Ngonzi Vungo in celebrating his life in Mbitini village, Kaliluni sublocation, Migwani Location, Migwani Ward.

Col. Vungo was celebrated as a disciplinarian and educationist who served the community with distinction.
