Strengthening Security and Customer Service Excellence for NPS Officers at Huduma Centres*

Week two of the Security Training and Customer Service Excellence Programme for Administration Police officers deployed to Huduma Centres is currently underway at the Administration Police Leadership and Sports Campus in Meru. The programme, facilitated jointly by officers from the Huduma Kenya Secretariat and the Administration Police, aims to strengthen both customer service delivery and security management within Huduma Centres across the country.

As Chief Guest, CEO/Secretary CPA Ben Kai Chilumo officially flagged off Day One of the National Disability Dialogue 2026, themed “From Policy to Practice: Co‑creating an Inclusive, Prosperous Society.”

The dialogue brought together partners and leaders championing disability inclusion, including Prof. Charles Ochieng Ong’ondo, MBS, CEO Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development; Mr. David Munyendo, Country Director Christian Blind Mission; and Dr. Michael Munene (PhD), CEO National Council for Persons with Disabilities, among other distinguished guests.

In his remarks, he emphasized practical steps already underway — from assistive technologies and accessibility upgrades across Centres to stronger partnerships that support Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
