The Coast Regional Manager, Mr. Nelson Tonui, accompanied by the Mombasa Branch Manager, Madam Ibtisam Mohamed, together with the Mombasa team, conducted an employer sensitization forum on 14th and 15th April 2026 at the Royal Court Hotel, Mombasa.
The forum aimed to educate employers on their statutory obligations, recent developments, the range of benefit products provided under the NSSF Act, and the enhanced contribution rates. This initiative is part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to enhance compliance and expand social security coverage across the country.
NSSF continues to focus on delivering better outcomes for members, following the declaration of a 17% interest rate on members’ savings this year, signalling strong performance by the Fund.

The North Eastern Regional Manager, Mr. Hadi Warfa, accompanied by Mandera Branch Manager Mr. Idris Daud, Wajir Branch Manager Mr. Abdirahman Abdille and Mandera Branch team, conducted an employer sensitization forum on 9th April, 2026, at the RedSea Resort in Mandera.
The engagement aimed to educate employers on their obligations, recent developments, range of benefit products provided under the NSSF Act and best practices under the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) framework. This initiative forms part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to enhance compliance and expand social security coverage across the country.

Madam Lilian Siparo, Regional Manager –Central, alongside Kerugoya Branch Manager Madam Bennina Wanyama, Murang’a Branch Manager Mr. Japheth Mutinda, and staff, hosted an employer sensitization forum at Maanet Gardens in Kerugoya on March 12, 2026.The forum provided an opportunity to update employers on Year 4 NSSF contributions, their statutory obligations, and best practices under the NSSF framework, in support of the Fund’s compliance and social security expansion agenda.
Employers who had previously opted out were encouraged to opt back in and were enlightened on the importance of saving with NSSF to secure their employees’ social protection. NSSF continues to focus on delivering better outcomes for members, following the declaration of a 17% interest rate on members’ savings this year, signalling strong performance by the Fund.

The Eastern Regional Manager, Mr. Joseph Kitonyi, accompanied by Kitui Branch Manager Mr. Edward Mugalla, Marsabit Branch Manager Mr. Nicholas Mutinda, and staff conducted an employer sensitization forum on March 9, 2026, at Parkside Villa Hotel in Kitui.
The engagement aimed to educate and update employers on their obligations, recent developments, and best practices under the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) framework. This initiative forms part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to enhance compliance and expand social security coverage across the country. Adding valuable perspectives, the forum was attended and addressed by leaders from key workers’ unions, including representatives from the Kenya Union of Commercial, Food and Allied Workers (KUCFAW) and KUDHEIHA (Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Educational Institutions, Hospitals and Allied Workers).
Their participation underscored the importance of collaboration between employers, employees, and regulatory institutions in promoting fair labour practices and securing retirement benefits for workers. The successful engagement reflects NSSF Kitui Branch’s commitment to proactive stakeholder engagement and strengthening social security awareness in the region.
