Marsabit County, breathtakingly beautiful, with its vast landscapes, rolling hills and the stunning Marsabit crater nestled within, is where geography, mobility and culture shape the voter registration process. During ongoing ECVR monitoring, I engaged voter educators, mobilizers, clerks, ICT staff, media and the Marsabit County team (Saku Constituency) to gather firsthand insights on progress and challenges.

Despite the expansive terrain and a largely pastoralist population, the county has made commendable gains, driven by strong grassroot mobilization and collaboration with local leaders. At the frontline of inclusion Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) presses on.

Distance is not a barrier to Democracy…A return trip of approximately 1,060 kilometers from Nairobi, through punishing terrain and a hostile climate, lies a truth we often forget: Every Kenyan voice matters. I am currently in Marsabit County to support our dedicated Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) staff and engage with the resilient people of this vast region. Seeing the "forgotten" corners like Saru finally reached and residents registered reminds us that no community is too far and no distance is too great for democracy.

Marsabit is a beautiful, rugged reminder that Kenya is diverse and our mission for 100% electoral inclusion is far from over. Life is a journey and we have officially embarked on the path to ensure that every resident of this great county has a seat at the table.

The mission is clear: Inclusion. Participation. Dignity.

On behalf of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) Chairperson and fellow Commissioners, I'm happy with Busia’s County vibrant stakeholder meeting. We rallied Busia leadership, County Commissioner Stephen Orinde, sub-county admins, media, PWDs, women, youth, security teams, Registrar of Persons, civil society and community representatives to supercharge our ECVR with just 13 days left until April 28! Key highlights of the engagement

->Urgent push to collect unclaimed IDs and team up with NRB, NGAO and Nyumba Kumi to deliver them fast, while we bring kits closer to you.
->Governor Otuoma vows county-wide mobilization especially youth. Commissioner Orinde will ensures maximum outreach and security while NGAO commits to grassroots targets and zero insecurity.

Busia Governor Dr. Paul Otuoma said, "Elections aren't IEBC's alone. Let's mobilize every structure to register all eligible Kenyans with IDs. No one should be left behind."

Great turnout today in Bungoma County for Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) stakeholder engagement on ). As the Commissioner representing IEBC in the stakeholder engagement, I emphasized that voter registration is the bedrock of credible elections especially for youth, women, and persons with disabilities. It's our constitutional right and civic duty. I urged leaders to become mobilization ambassadors. No eligible voter left behind!

H.E. Rt. Hon. Kenneth Lusaka, Bungoma Governor, reaffirmed county support and called for massive turnout to strengthen our democracy. Together with county officials, security, political parties, youth, women and Persons Abled Differently reps, we're aligning for an inclusive process. Let's register!

🔴CLOSED KIEMS KIT - This one is locked to a specific constituency and is only available at the IEBC Constituency Office.
