OPPOSITION NI NDOA YA MACHOZI:
Things are yet to get thick. Winnie Odinga is running for Nairobi Senate, so is Faith Odhiambo; Babu is going for Nairobi governor, so is Gakuya. Sifuna backed presidential bid by Gachagua will have DCP demanding for gubernatorial candidature of the coalition, sacrificing Babu on that altar. Babu, Winnie and Faith (Luos) can’t be in the same coalition and run for governor and senate seats in Nairobi. They must belong to different coalitions. Other communities will have demands too.
Kalonzo will have to run for president, or wait again to be interviewed coalition staffers for suitability as a supporting cast. Matiang’i has to choose, whether to run, or wait to be interviewed by Gachagua. Ndindi has choices to make, jointly with Karua and Muturi what kind of supporting casts they want to be in no particular order. Opposition will not remain united. Politics is about self-preservation, interests and timing. All these put together, the teams cannot pale the glow of incumbent President Ruto’s development footprints, top energy and high-powered politics where service to the people is his starting point.

One thing or the other may not be working out perfectly to the expectation of every Kenyan. No perfect state exists in governance. But you agree that previously neglected regions in Kenya now are on the priority list of development programmes; agricultural reforms have made dairy, sugarcane and livestock farmers better than before, and more progress is in the pipeline. Healthcare reforms and infrastructure development rollout have the right foundational markers for Kenya's rise. We may not agree on everything, but we can agree that Kenya is truly shaping up for the better.
