MWACHA MILA NI MTUMWA!
Our cultural heritage, traditions and values remain an important part of our identity and community.
Yesterday, during my visit to Elemantaita Ward, I had an opportunity to interact with elders (Athuri a Kiama Kiama) from the ward.
I appreciated their wisdom, leadership and continued role in preserving our cultural heritage. I urged them to take an active role as ambassadors of peace, unity and social cohesion within our communities.
As custodians of our traditions, our elders have a unique responsibility to guide the younger generation, promote mutual respect and help resolve conflicts whenever they arise.
We may come from different backgrounds, hold different opinions and have different political persuasions, but our shared identity and humanity must always unite us.
Let us preserve our culture, respect our elders and build a community anchored on peace, unity and mutual respect.
Peace is our collective responsibility.
