Department of Environmental Engineering - DEE

On 11 May 2026 at 1:30 PM, the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) provided a presentation on Master’s Degree scholarships in Environmental Engineering for students at the Department of Environmental Engineering, RUPP. This scholarship will cover airfare, tuition fees, insurance, and stipend.

Studying Environmental Engineering provides students with many opportunities to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees overseas, as well as obtain employment after graduation.

Ms. Ly Ronita is a third-year student in the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Royal University of Phnom Penh and has been selected to participate in the Youth Model ASEAN Conference (YMAC) at Singapore Polytechnic.

YMAC organized by Singapore Polytechnic aims to enhance participants’ understanding of ASEAN cooperation and regional issues through simulated diplomatic discussions. It provides a platform for youth to exchange ideas, develop leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills, and engage in problem-solving on real-world challenges. The program also fosters cross-cultural networking and collaboration among ASEAN students, inspiring them to become proactive contributors to the region’s future.

Fourth-year students of the Department of Environmental Engineering presented their research thesis proposals before starting the experimental work for their thesis in following:
1. Uk Sipanha – Research topic: Preparation of Iron Oxide–Coated Sand Using Iron(III) Chloride Hexahydrate for Arsenic Removal from Water.
2. Un Chanpanha – Research topic: Performance and Adsorption Behavior of Chitosan–Clay Composite for Color Removal from Industrial Wastewater Using Model Dyes.
3. Uch Dyna – Research topic: Modified Fish Scale Bioadsorbent for the Removal of Pb(II) from Aqueous Solutions.
4. Chan Eang Ratha – Research topic: Monitoring of Microplastics and Their Associated Pollutants from Landfills in Phnom Penh.
