On the afternoon of September 18, 2026, professor from the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea, gave a presentation to Environmental Engineering students on master’s degree scholarship opportunities to study in Korea under the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) scholarship program.
The Department of Environmental Engineering will support and encourage students to apply for this great opportunity.

On 21 August 2026 (Friday), the Department of Environmental Engineering (DEE) organized a seminar entitled “Industry-Academia Partnerships: The Role of the Department of Environmental Engineering (DEE) in Facilitating Partnerships in Cambodia’s Environmental Sector.” The seminar provided DEE with an opportunity to introduce its cooperation initiatives through industry-academia partnerships and gain insights and experiences from invited experts to develop more effective and sustainable cooperation models with potential partners. The seminar was held at Seminar Room 3, Cambodia-Korea Cooperation Center (CKCC), RUPP Campus 1, Phnom Penh. The program included welcoming remarks from representatives of RUPP, KOICA, and GIST, followed by presentation sessions, question-and-answer sessions, and panel discussions. Invited speakers and representatives came from the Center for Sustainable Water (CWS), French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD), Green Assessment Co., Ltd., Chheung Aek Sewage Treatment Plant, Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI), and University-Industry Cooperation Center. The seminar served as an important platform for strengthening collaboration among academia, government-related institutions, research organizations, and the private sector, while exploring opportunities for partnerships in Cambodia’s environmental sector.
